I am Also pro-divorce, but that is a whole different story.

I'm guessing you never worked at a women's shelter for those suffering domestic violence? Trust me, it would make 50 Shades of grey seem like a children's novel by comparison

Who said something about COPYRIGHTS ?
Before anything else let me start by saying its "To add insult to injury" not to insult to injury

    Now back OT:
Why church weddings? Because we are entitled to worship the same God that you do.

I mentioned copyrights because you are implying that only your brand of worship is acceptable before the eyes of God and that in itself is discriminatory.

As to " if the HOMOSEXUALS demand respect , then they should learn also to respect the SACREDNESS of the HOLY SACRAMENTS"

In a perfect world LGBT people would not need to demand respect because respect as a HUMAN BEING is already innate.. it is an immutable birth right given to all men. But reality bites, and everyday they suffer discrimination from bigots like you who erroneously parade under the mask of righteousness bestowed upon you by a book written by people thousands of years ago.

I think the thread is about marriage in the civil sense... lahi nga story ang church aspect of wedding.

We better define kung unsa gyud pasabot sa "marriage" ani nga thread.... separate catholic views on marriage and marriage in the context of civil union, conjugal property etc...

So for me , pwede married sa civil ang bayot pero dili sa catholic church... pero they can get a church wedding if their religion allows it.
I agree with this. Though I am Catholic and pro-equality, I will not impose my personal beliefs upon the church as a whole.. Marriage is a Civil union would grant practical benefits to same-*** couples

Well I guess we can't help it that people are much inclined to do what they feel right in their own point of views, so it boils down to personal choice. More and more we see personal freedom being fought from the social norms, and each day people agree, until such time that they won't care any more. I guess that's why they're pushing to question the very fundamental of everybody's beliefs, and in somehow leave ideas along the way that we had been our own master ever since. So in no time they can use these notions to back up their ideologies of freedom, equality, and morality. The social structure that had been established by our ancestors are still fragile in the first place as there had been incidences that the founders themselves were doing contradictory to what they thought ideal. They too long ago were the culprits and guilty of sweeping under their bed these sensitive social issues. I would say at this point that I have no more right to say against anybody. I rely on the principle of time as the ultimate judge of the choices we made.

Ultimately, History will be the judge for vision is 20/20 when looking back at the past..
    Case in point:
Women's Rights, Black Slavery, Jewish holocaust.. Next up LGBT equality

Toink?! pag sure oi. It will be easier cguro for you to migrate & get married elsewhere than passing this law. the reality is, naa ka sa pinas. Gay marraige is not an option, wa pa gani na approve ang mas importante: divorce, & most of all RH bill. toink.

    On the issue:
imagine this, Some People (like yourself) are in favor for gay marraige (for obvious reasons) then pag naay problema will file divorce? toink. imagina unsa kahasol ang paperwork, ang mga tao nga dapat i-employ para lang i-check kung tinood ba jud nga gay ang couple. why the need to check, it is simple, look at the movie chuck & larry. if you say it is not possible, well think again. Daghan na kaayo holes atong mga balaod & even sa US it is happening. loophole example: My lesbo cousin married an american man to get citizenship. There was a pinoy movie done by vilma a few years back which is similar to this. imagine the waste of resources we have today, then pun-an pa ana. Gay couples can always enjoy themselves sa present (aren't they?), why the need to get married? They already broke the taboo, whats the point of being conventional?doesn't make sense to me. acceptance? so wa pa diay gihapon sila giaccept? if that is the issue, then it is a society issue not a Law issue. i am not against the third ***, my older brother is gay & we as a family have accepted him since birth (i also have a Gay Grandfather).

    OT (divorce):
oh by the way, we don't need to go to a women's shelter to understand what is happening. I knew people who has been in those horrible situations (both husband & wife). You see, it may be hard to admit it but sometimes the problem is with them (both the wife & the husband, it needs 2 to tango). Most of the time they knew that a horrible situation is coming (History will tell you that) yet they still cling to the relationship in the hope that things will change. & Coming from a Broken family myself, i still don't support divorce. a totally different story anyway.
