muslims washed there dead relatives head to toe before being wrap in white linens. must be buried within 24hrs (unless investigations demands). if you remember the basilan congressman who got killed by the famous congress bombing.

anyway, as of now they are being buried in the public cemetery since it accept any religion. FYI, burying human remains outside designated cemetery is prohibited by law. muslims follow that law, they're not outlaws.

Medyo bukid2 but gikalipay namo na as Muslims diri sa Cebu tungod kay gidungog ni kanhi Mayor ug karon kasamtangang Congressman sa Cebu City South District in the person of Tommy Osmeña and his former councilors nga mahatagan mi ug luna nga mahimo namong menteryo, ug tungod niana amo siyang gipahalipayan and to extent nga giila pa siya nga Sultan. Dili lalim among naagian sa una nga wa pa mi menteryo kay naha-diin2 mi ug pangita ug public cemetery ang uban tawon nalubong sa mga Catholic cemetery apan mao lagi agi pa ug hinangyoay ug usahay kasab-an pa mi nganong nag-Muslim

Regarding about when ilubong, it is not true that the dead body should be buried within the same day or within 24hrs. It is not an Islamic principle but more of an Arab tribal origin particularly in Saudi, other Muslim countries also have their own shares of cultural influences mixed with religious practices. But because the people of the world take Saudi Arabia as a model for the Islamic society, therefore, anything that the Saudis do become Islamic

How about the Medical Examination to know whether the person has died a natural death or he has been poisoned, etc.? How about the arrival of his relatives to see him, before being buried? How about waiting for a few hours to make it sure that the he/she is really dead and not just a victim of a reversable stroke, (Like those who come back to life in the mortuary!), etc.? There have been several cases reported that a dead person came back to life, some 24 hrs. after being presumed "dead" or just before entering them in their graves! How about that? Kalooy no!

So, what does Islam say? Well, as long as Islam is concerned, there is no single word in the Holy Qur'an to order or even to suggest that a corpse should be entered before sunset of the same day that the person died! So, what is the rule? The rule is like any other Islamic tenets, is the COMMON SENSE; Because Islam is a religion of the COMMON SENSE as stated in the Qur'an;

"Then set your face upright for religion in the right state-- the nature made by Allah in which He has made men; there is no altering of Allah's creation; that is the right religion, but most people do not know--" Qur'an 30:30
