Well, it's actually a fairly easy question to answer. A simple YES or NO will suffice. It's not like he was asking you for a two-page essay. Also, if he's asking, then that means you can also ask him the same question.
IMO, if you're doubting that he's just after the S E X, then clearly your relationship is lacking in trust. And I don't mean the condom.
