for extreme gaming, laptops really don't compare to desktops. pero if you're into gaming mobility, like attending lan parties with friends, better for you ang laptop kay dali ra mag-setup. the previous posters summed it all pretty well. depende lang gyud sa imo lifestyle.
yup i agree on what others have posted. as of now, the gaming laptop is the right one for you since you have a big budget and it just works right out of the box. and if you really travel a lot then this is good since you can bring it with you. (although gaming laptops are not really that portable compared to tablets / ultra portable laptops.)
but if your usage of a pc is mostly at home ra... you would get more value on a desktop pc. like what others have said... it is easier to upgrade parts on desktop pcs, while it is limited on laptops. But if you really cant see yourself in the future nga mag install video card / hard disks by yourself, then go buy the gaming laptop.![]()
Woah! Thank you very much for the responses everyone. I was actually hoping for someone to recommend me a desktop build with my price range and in comparison to the laptops I was interested in XD I wanted to weigh the quality of a desktop I could get with those in mind. Getting a laptop will work as a desktop replacement for me. I want to know if it's possible to connect it to a widescreen display when gaming or viewing shows? A few of you mentioned having an external drive for archiving, I'm glad I thought the same. I don't mind plugging it in and out seeing as the Asus G75V has a thunderbolt port which I hear is really fast and there are a few ext. HDD out with it already. Anyone know of other notebooks having thunderbolt?
Either way, it looks like I'm swaying more towards on getting a notebook instead. It just hurts knowing I could probably get a better desktop with the money I'm spending.
I forgot to mention one more thing about the pc I'm using now. One thing I didn't like about having a desktop was having to rely on the shop when going for an upgrade since my knowledge is limited. From past experience, I felt they didn't tell me if there was something wrong with my mobo since it was still under their warranty. The next time I went there for another upgrade, they told me it's broken and it couldn't recognize a third HDD and it was no longer under warranty.
