    The Srebrenica Massacre

The Srebrenica massacre, also known as the Srebrenica genocide, refers to the July 1995 killing, during the Bosnian War, of more than 8,000Bosniaks , mainly men and boys, in and around the town of Srebrenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina, by units of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) under the command of General Ratko Mladić. The mass murder was described by the Secretary-General of the United Nations as the worst crime on European soil since the Second World War. A paramilitary unit from Serbia known as the Scorpions, officially part of the Serbian Interior Ministry until 1991,participated in the massacre and it is alleged that foreign volunteers including the Greek Volunteer Guard also participated.

In April 1993, the United Nations declared the besieged enclave of Srebrenica in the Drina Valley of north-eastern Bosnia a "safe area" under UN protection. However, in July 1995, the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR), represented on the ground by a 400-strong contingent of Dutch peacekeepers, Dutchbat, did not prevent the town's capture by the VRS and the subsequent massacre.

Milošević was found dead in his cell on 11 March 2006, in the UN war crimes tribunal's detention center, located in the Scheveningen section of The Hague, Netherlands.

Autopsies soon established that Milošević had died of a heart attack. He had been suffering from heart problems and high blood pressure. Many suspicions were voiced to the effect that the heart attack had been caused or made possible deliberately – by the ICTY, according to sympathizers, or by himself, according to critics.

Milošević death occurred shortly after the Tribunal denied his request to seek specialized medical treatment at a cardiology clinic in Russia.

There is a Yugoslav saying countering Benjamin Franklin's, "There never was a good war, or a bad peace."
"There has never been a good war or a bad peace... except in the balkans."

Looking how the series of Yugoslav conflicts were, I don't get this quote either.

Supported and driven by neighboring Serbia’s irredentist ideology which is called “The Greater Serbia”, in wanton disregard of civilian lives the Serbs engage in the most horrific genocide and ethnic cleansing history of mankind, “The Genocide of Bosnian Muslims”. Though the main proponent of this conflict was already dead while serving his sentence in prison and his country Serbia was cleared by ICJ of genocides still the question remains, Is the justice been serve to the Bosnian Muslims?
Many were critical with the media coverage and NATO intervention during the conflicts. There are several adherents that the media and the west were manipulating stories exclusively demonizing the Serbs and supported the Muslims to appease the Islamic world and much like in Afghanistan during the Soviet-Afghan war, opened the country for foreign mujaheddin against the federal government, all these because SFR Yugoslavia will not correspond with NATO plans for the region. Mass transit stations and refugee camps became 'concentration camps' mass graves where countless victims (which are natural occurrence in wars) are now caused by ethnic cleansings according to mainstream media.

1992 (Feb 29-March 1) There is a referendum vote for independence by Bosnia's Muslims and Croats. It is boycotted by Serbs. In April, after Bosnia's independence is recognized by the European Union, Civil War breaks out. The Serbs, receiving support from Serbia, lays siege to the Bosnian Capital city, Sarajevo and control 70 % of Bosnia.
Nationalism in the 80's and activism among Muslims, topped by the dissolution of Yugoslav Republic (likely part of the collapse of Eastern bloc) many Serbs in Bosnia felt left out especially when global community intervened and supported the Bosnian independence.

By the way, all these are beside the point. I don't endorse it. I'm just sharing the other side of the story. The truth is no one was even close to spotless during the conflict. Serbs, Bosniaks the Croats, all sides were guilty of atrocities.
