Oh you don't have to discuss anything with me. I can tell a lot already when you uttered "declare war on China". That is the same thing I hear about people trying to act macho, always glorifying war--when indeed it is an inglorious thing. People die in the most undignified manner. War is the last resort, and should never be the first.

That adjective never applies to me. I tell you right now, I am never brave and macho. I am scared a lot. War is never to be glorified. War is the bane of mankind.

But sometimes, war has to be fought.

China is a bully that must be fought. The strong only understands the language of war.

Now, that is where you are wrong. They have staked their claims and no where does it say that they want the Philippines. Their claims are based on historical documents in which most of the unoccupied islands are part of their sovereignty. The fact of the matter is that these "islands" that China is laying claim to has a huge potential for oil thus they want it that bad. That's the problem, its not about invasion or wanting to expand territory. But the more we aggravate the issue, then the possibility of intent changes drastically. We know what they want, and we know that "us" (middle class going down to lower class) citizens can never fully enjoy the oil that these islands contain. Why should I fight so that a few 10% can be richer? This issue has never been about sovereignty but is about the potential millions of dollars that can be earned and how the US can gain from this hidden wealth. I wouldn't want Iraq to happen in my backyard, do you?

so your saying that if their will be war, you just watch every people die because you cant fight for such things? is that what you mean?

you know mister, if our fellow filipinos back in the days of Spanish Era didnt fight for our land or territories. You wont be able to live where you are right now , i mean us kita. or Marcos Era, if Nonoy didnt do anything, well you know what would happen to us right now. Im not suggestion here that we go to WAR, all want to express is we need do defend our territories no matter what.

The Philippines can assert itself without being a pansy and also without having to go to war. Do not think, for even a minute, that this is a black and white matter. There are various degrees to assert our claim. In diplomacy, it's all about posturing.
