This is a repost of my reply . if you really are into the discussion other than for the sake of proving something , take time to read it .

This is an age old question thrown by the PROTESTANTS to the ROMAN CATHOLICS .

To basically answer the question , one should analize first the question both biblically and in commonsense to reconcile both the people who relies on the bible and those who thinks logically .

Try to compare MT. 27:56 and MK 15:40 , it is said thee that the Virgin Mary had a sister named like herself who was the wife of CLopas or Alpheus( variety of the same name ) and who had two sons , James the Less and Joses as claimed as the brothers of Jesus .

Another instance also for commonsense reasoning , when Jesus was 12 years old and was lost in the temple , as claimed or interpreted that he has 4 brothers and 2 sisters , bringing the acocunt to space them evenly in their respective ages . James must be 10 , Joses must be 8 , Judah must be 6 , and Simon must be 4 . Considering on that gaps , the sisters must be 2 and the other must still be unborn . The Virgin Mary went on to trek 70 kilometers in 3 days one way . Is it possible ? NO .

So prior to coming up with questions like these , one should consider also to answer the difficulty of what is realistic . dili lang ang unsay atong interpretation because we cant reconcile or for the sake of discussion lang . So now you guys see a part of the answer that is biblical and what makes sense .

[quote]Other than that , this is the belief of the ROMAN CATHOLICS today . That is because the RC's of the yesteryears knew better and these are all inheretance of belief's as what they knew as they were really there . The basic error of non believers to this doctrine is the fact tht they dont have no other source of information except the bible . Mind you , all these interpretations carry different meanings abhoring what carries an advantage to their leverage without any valid foundation .

Great example of these are the conclusions of a one great family of 4 brothers and 2 sisters must be recollected that ADELPHOI which is translated " brethren " may also signify " cousins " .

Og kung ibutang ta lang nga wala jud sya igsuon si Christ sa ngalan nga magtiayon sila as what i've said gift na sa Lord sa usa ka magtiayon ang S*x og apil na sila jose og maria ana and the fact nga from the very beginning God commanded us to multiply.. na fullfill na ni Maria ang iyang mission sa dihang iya gipakatawo si Cristo. So back to normal na sya nothing special with her sa dihang natawo na si Cristo. Mao Gitawag ra sya ni Cristo og BABAE not Blessed Virgin Mary or whatsoever....
Gi unsa nimo pagka hibalo na they are COUPLES ? Although I agree with you that S3X is a gift from God that is why it is sacred but you have to establish first that Joseph and Mary are couples . Mary never went to normal if you define it as something out of the ordinary , she did not even die .

Its not about what but who .

Who do you think are the CHRISTIAN APOLOGETICS and RESEARCH MINISTRY ?

Show me a CATHOLIC WEBSITE that tells us that indeed MARY has other children other then JESUS CHRIST . That would make sense .

Like Jesus have brothers, but then again sa simbahan we are all brothers/sisters... Halimbawa sa sugod naa nisulti niad2 ang mga brother ni Jesus, then di mana gisulat daun, gi pasa2x ra man thru word of mouth, so mawala gyud ang tinuod na meaning.... Ang naka dungog kay gi take literally ang brother na word, so pagsulat brother (blood brother na gyud)...
Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
    mathew 13:55

it is obvious in those times people identify Jesus with his family and his mother, father, and his brothers and sisters.
why would Jesus contrast his blood family and his spiritual family?
it just a bad excuse if we say that they are just his spiritual family when Jesus clearly put a distinction between the blood family of Jesus and his spiritual family?

Who were the blood family of Jesus:
Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

who were the spiriual family of Jesus?
For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
    mark 3:35

saying that the bible is unreliable is just dishonest.
it seems that there are some parts in the bible that are obvious to be literal since it has a clear indication. but somehow it was explained not to be literal just to defend the godesshood. what we are witnessing here are the twisting the scriptures. This is just so pathetic and sad.

wow so its not about the facts and information but its about who said it.
So if someone told you to eat sh!t it doesn't matter what you are eating but who said it?

Of course ! How can you establish credibility when the person involved are questionable ?

So if someone told you to eat sh!t it doesn't matter what you are eating but who said it?
If you come to that point , again it depends who that person is . Considering I am a Roman Catholic , the Protestants might ask me to eat sh!t because i am a Roman Catholic . A fellow Roman Catholic would never ask me to eat sh!t because he or she knows I am a Roman Catholic .

Getting the drift now ? Dont settle for senseless arguments bai . Like I said , that question was an age old presentation of the Protestants to the Catholics that was timelessly answered also . The only thing that would matter here is that they wont agree with it because iof they do then it defeats the purpose of Martin Luther why they are PROTESTING . Makes sense ?

Wala man intawn na nagsabong dodong FRI . Both camp are only presenting topics to talk about . What 1 agrees and 1 disagrees . The only sad thing is when someone who doesnt belong to neither one ang makisawsaw and gets out of bounds .

You should be preying on these people , not on the individuals who are RC's and Protestants . How to identify them ? Its not my problem anymore but yours , thats why its a forum because if thats how you see a discussion and interprets it as SABONG , why are you here in the first place ?
