All about Pentatonic scale in guitar

It's okay to venture into those kinds of stuffs bro.. Kanus-a paman ka magsugod kanang wa naka gana? d ba?hehehe
Lami au ang feeling naa ka makat-unan nga solo then mgamit nimo.. Hehehe.. Actually sa ako noh, since reggae man ako banda, ako ginahimo is mag tripping kog paminaw ug mga reggae songs, then sabayan nakog solo2.. From there makita nako akong sayop kng asa. So makat-on jd ko nga kani nga chord progression, d dpat ig-on ang kani nga note. Madugay ana, makat-on raka nga kani nga tukar, is d puede ni sila nga mga notes..hehehe..Wa gatudlo nako, basa2 rako then apply sa mga nakat-unan..hehe..
Puede pd nmo gamiton ang mga blues kind of style na soloing sa mga reggae na songs. Wa ko nag-ingon na mag reggae2 ka ha, pero it's a good start, kai most sa mga reggae na songs, kai balik2 ra ang mga chords d au dghan biga ba.
Testingi gd d ba malingaw ka.. Kato lang mga tag 3 ra ka chords..wehehe..

As for rock nga mga tukar wa ko kabalo sa mga foundations ana.. Tungod siguro kai nakat-on ko sa katong akong ginabuhat sa reggae na mga songs that I knew how to do solos on rock songs. Well, that's me and thats how I do it. Hahaha.. Unconventional ba..

So, depende ra gyud na nimo bro.. Try pd kat-on ug mga solos from songs, then once maka encounter kag chord na same sa katong solo nga imong nakat-unan, puede to nimo gamiton, partly..hehehe..

Hahaha! Improv man na imoha bro, dili ka kasab-an sa mga pros. Yup, kamao man ko mubuhat2x ug solo like sa imo nga sabayan lang. But kutob rko diha, kay dili jud ko maayo mu solo. Mas nahan ug malingaw jud kog rythm guitar labi na ning my new found love of playing bass! hehe! My only concern lang is nganu Am pentatonic ra jud ang ipakita sa mga tutorials bah nya dili pud nila e emphasize nga same technique ra gamiton if lain nga Scale na ang songs. I got your point.

To all, let's learn the basics jud! It doesn't matter if simpol ra kaayo kay gamit jud kaayo ning basics.

ok i think mas dakong tabang jud ang youtube demos than putting it in words here. you'll need all the visuals you can get.

One thing i did though when learning those scales back then, gather stickers or any paper with a sticky side on it and punch holes on the stickers with a puncher. Kuhaon nimu ang katong mga gagmay nga lingin sa sod sa puncher. Ipilit na nimu sa imu fretboard to map out all the notes of the pentatonic or whatever scale you are studying.

The disadvantage though is you can only base it in one key as a reference pero pwede ra na ma irog irog madugay once familiar naka or you may put more if you have more than one guitar.

If there's just too much information and you cannot handle it by sticking papers on the fretboard, ibutang nalang tanan sa bongbong sa imong kwarto. It works and makes life a lot easier lolz.

Another tip on pentatonics. Don't play it literally as a "scale". Play it with a certain pattern that sounds musical. I have to agree with the pros sa youtube. Scales are not music
