forget the car first, is the environment you are usually in is very dry or lack of moisture? how often you see static discharge and when and where?

Thanks for the reply. I mean, I am inside the car and driving from Lapu-Lapu to Cebu City. AC is always on. My kids are always at the back set. when I touch them or they touch me, there is a static spark / discharge. I did not observed such static on my previous cars. Only on this car that I recently bought. (KIA SPORTAGE).

With high AC setting, temperature is lower. You're body tend to work more to compensate the lower temperature for normal body functioning. Warmer body, cooler environment, a recipe for static discharge.
