This is precisely Atty. Manalo's point. Cong. Farrinas kept posturing "why this" and "why that", and saying that there are inconsistencies, when they didn't even cross-examine Corona. Mas kusog man ilang case kung doubt ra ang ilang i-present. That's why they didn't cross-examine, and they didn't accept Corona's waiver. They know if the entire story is told, there would be less impact from the doubt.

I would have loved to listen to private prosecutor Mario Bautista instead.
He could have sounded like an academician.
Cuevas did a good one rhetorically but i don't know if it was good legally.

This trial showed people how powerful politicians can get away with murder in this country, by using technicalities to turn our own laws against the system. Our justice system is too literal and bogged down by technicalities.

The way Miriam and the defense would have us interpret our laws would lead to an absurd result, making the SALN law powerless when it's supposed to be one of our strongest tools against corruption, just because in their mind they feel it conflicts with the FCDA. The British have a smarter approach to this problem, instead of being too literal they take a purposive approach to interpreting their laws.
