bag-o rasad ko nagsugod trade ug forex, started november 2011 with very small capital.. and i could say i am one of the 90% nga nasunog dayon ang initial account..hehehe pero padayon gihapon, no pain no gain..lol

manta active sad ni ang threads sa forex, mas nindot daghan maghinatagay ideas daghan ta makat-onan..

I use Oanda's MT4 platform...

day trades ra ni cya bai or do you hold it until either tp or ts is hit?

I used to trade with this much ts
not anymore...since I trade on 5min chart, my stop/ts are tight but my tp is flexible as long as it meet my minimum risk/reward ratio.

i could say day trades ky im trading on 1-Hr timeframe, mostly mas hit ra akong TP or TS within a day..
i trade on 1-Hr ky mas naa koy space sa trailing stop ug dli dayon maclose akong trade bisan naay kalit2x nga swing sa price.
ako risk->reward ratio ky 1:2 ra based on 30pip Cutloss and 60pip target

if mas mubo imo timeframe, reasonable rasad nga tight imong stops ky mao nay possible makaclose sa account kun layo ang TS with reference sa imong timeframe na gitrade.. imho..

trade update:
since my entry, price went down to -14pips, wa pa nahit ako stop.. and it even went up to +19pips but now down a bit, currently +12.30pips up as of writing..

I'll post my this trades result once ma exit na, either hit my stop or profit..

many of my trades are close in <1hr many are done within 30min...
typical gains range from 5pips to 20pips...some even at 3pips only.
half of the trades were closed due to ts getting hit.
anyway, I'm a hybrid scalper so even 2 pips I'm happy

ok sad na bro, depende rajud sa trader.. naa sad koy mga nabasahan nga scalpers nga dagko kaayo ug profit in 1day, ky kun consistent ka sa imong profit bisan ginagmay basta kanunay man daw..hehe .. pero nagpractice pasad ko mao conservative sa ta, ari lang sa kos 1-hr..hehe

what time do you guys usually trade?

in my case, since I'm on a shorter time frame, most of my heavy trades were done when US / EU or EU / JP market overlaps...just to make sure I have the needed volatility to get my trades done
