Ako answer ana bro... Actually sa imong case, good for one PC ra bya ang imong plan na gi-avail... so hinay gud na especially niingon ka na damo device ang mu-acquire sa signal... one reason pa sd ang word na wifi since di xa direct mas hinay jud ang signal...
I am using TP-Link WR841N , Take note ang competition between router companies is all about security features and network speed so your question "What model should i get w/o reducing the speed that much?" does not make any sense...So there is no such router na maka-reduce ug internet speed(as long as na-configure nimo xa in the right way, specially if you are using a bridge mode modem like sa globe),. We buy TPLink brands cause it's cheaper but features we're looking are intact so murag reasonable choice xa compare sa Cisco Linksys(example ran na)... So for short get any router na kaya sa imong budget...
When buying a router you should look always for this features:
-Adapter compatibility (b/g/n)
-Security support (must have a mac address support)
-Customer support (online or via center)
-Must have 300Mbps( okay ra ang 150Mbps cause wala man ISP dire sa Phil. na mu-provide higher speed so okay ra but para worth ang money just get 300Mbps)
-and Price(most important part, brand is up to you as long kaya sa imong budget)
Ok, i'll just rephrase it then, I'm looking for a wifi router with good signal handling para the speed will be at it's max. Okay i'll try to look for that model.
i read this too:
PS. Mahal2x pud ang 300mbps nga wireless adapter da para sa PC. Same2x ra man pud ug price sa router.Wireless Protocols
A wireless router's range is determined by what 802.11 protocol is used, the overall strength of the router itself, and the nature of the obstructions and interference in the area.
The 802.11g protocol supports speeds up to 56Mbps. Its biggest drawback is that this protocol operates on the same band (2.4GHz) as many other devices, such as microwaves and cordless phones. Because of this, in all likelihood your wireless connection will be negatively impacted by interference from other devices.
The 802.11n protocol operates on the 5GHz band and is advertised to support speeds up to 300Mbps. Actual speeds, however, are much less. To take advantage of this protocol, all connected devices must be 802.11n compliant, and you should be aware that the 5GHz band, while allowing for less interference than the 2.4GHz band, will result in reduced signal range.I'll set the router to 5GHz unta kai 802.11n compliant man tong laptop.

We are now carrying diffrent types of TP-Link router / Poe Switches / GB Switches / Dual WAN router and OUT Door AP so far we never encounter any problems for 3 years - from the configurations its so simple......
pila price sa Tp link karon![]()
If e-set nimo to dedicated N protocol boss, sure na less ang interference but ang drawback is ang wireless range nimo is quite limited sad not to mention limited sad nga wifi devices (N compatible gadgets) ang maka-maximize.
Meaning if for example dako ang balay, mas taas ang possibility sa "blind spots" sa house unless ibutang nimo ang router sa center sa balay.
By default, routers are actually set to "mixed" protocol mode, meaning it can switch between protocols depending sa device na mo connect.
Hope This Helps...
Nagpa connect me sa bayantel internet connection, my plan is to have a 6-PC internet cafe. Wala pako mag hire IT expert to do the network. I have here TP-LINK with 8 ports and UTP cables 30 meters and 10 pcs RJ45. Wifi modem ata nilagay sakin.
Questions: Me kulang paba ako sa dapat kong bilhin? Mabilis na ba itong connection ko? Any advises to make my connection fast for the satisfaction of my possible clients?
