Default What If English instead of Tagalog...

What if English ang base sa national language nato?...

As observed lng ha, naa jud gap between tagalog and visaya, hilabi na if regarding the national language ang topic. Both sides naa sakto rason if ngano this and ngano that. Kapoy kaayo, dili jud magkaabot sa tunga ang arguments. Nagwonder lng ko, what if English ang base sa atong National language para walay lalis?

It's just like na-a ka 3 ka anak. ang usa ganahan ug pink, ang usa blue, and the last one, red. Then magdecide mo ug official Family color. if magpili ka ug pink, mangluod ang duha, the same way if magpili ka sa other favorite colors sa remaining children. Would it be better if imong pili-on is, example, Yellow para wala kay g-show nga favoritism unya dili na mangluod ang mga bata.

(note: mods, pls merge lng if naa na existing topic ani)

most would say it's not nationalistic to chose a foreign language such as english as national or primary medium of communication

para nako mas dili nationalistic kung ma divided man lang tah over the debate unsa nga linguahi gamiton--bisaya ba or tagalog
also mas better kung unsa language gamiton basta lang maka promote ug advancement or mu asinso atoang nasod.

for me the idea of nationalism or patriotism here is riddled and smeared with hypocrisy

katong ilang sense of nationalism is speaking in our native tongue, either tagalog or bisaya, and against the use of foreign language such as english, then pag barong or filipiniana mu instead of wearing western or US branded clothing!!!

parehas ra japn na istorya-a bro if tagalog base ang Nat language. if dili edukado ang atong igsuon, especially if dili tagalog speaker, dili japn makasabot or makastorya ug tagalog.

Kadaghan na ko kita'g bata gikan sa lain2x nga nasud, og kung asa sila nag daku, mao sad ilang ma-andan nga language.

If we suddenly shift language, we don't expect everyone to shift as well and just because people are uneducated, doesn't mean they can't learn necessary language for everyday task.

and people, who knows how to interact with other people, wouldn't require any language.
Debating which should be a National Language are just for close-minded people.

I've been to China and India where English is not the primary language, and still, I survived talking to people, had fun and laughs when we don't understand each other.

Diri intawn sa Pinas, kita ra ta'g mag tagalog, surok na atong dugo.

Kita ang mga tagalog naa'y mag bisaya, kataw.an dayon or mag binuangan dayon.

as for me, any language will do. I can survive even without saying anything.
