Phantom load means ... Even if off imong receiver pero naka plug sya sa on nga Avr, it will still be consuming power.

I have a watt meter that i use to measure mga devices and I learned that avr's consume power by just being on even if you dont connect anything to them. ( also learned contrary to popular belief that my nokia charger doesnt consume any power even if i keep it plugged in.)

Just make sure that ang capacity sa imong avr is enough for the power draw sa imong receiver and anything else imo plano i-connect to it....

Advise lang ko nimo bro para maka save ka power..... Palit anang power strip nga naay individual power switch per outlet para ma minimize nimo ang phantom load by isolating the devices that you dont plan to use.

Ang av receiver, better to get an autovolt or one nga naay voltage switch pero i know electronics in the u.s. Are notorious for being 110v only. Just make sure imo ma label to avoid accidents sa pag plug.

Cheaper alterntive nga av receivers diri sa philippines kay mga yamaha nga brand.

Power Strip? Mao ra ba na sa extension wire?

Yamaha was my first choice man unta. But then, sigi ko basa sa mga reviews, mao na ni switch ko sa Onkyo. Hehehe.

Wala may problems ang Yamaha, and it has good reviews. Ang una nakong choice is Yamaha RX-V471, pero ni switch ko to Onkyo TX-NR509 kay mas taas2x siya'g wattage, and it has ethernet port. Hehe
