well you see this alone is a broad topic bro RC has different points of view in this particular question. unfortunately Yes RC do believe.

1. RC believe in the realm of purgatory(i think kbaw nka ana even if d ka RC).
2. RC have additional chapters added(in your questions case try to read 2 Maccabees 12:39-45) in the bible the protestants accept it but not as a part of the bible but only an additional for reading.
3. though daghan ug bases ang RC bout this kind of questions i will provide you only one example in the bible that supports praying for the dead. In the New Testament when Paul offers a prayer for a man named Onesiphorus who had died: (2 Timothy 1:18[eight]) "May the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that day”. I just hoped wala na gierase sa inyo bible since we all know you guys take charge in translating the bible long ago. RC still based their bible in the latin translation i duno sa inyo.
