After seeing this fight, I am convinced that Pacquiao is indeed Mayweather's kryptonite. He avoided Cotto's punches by using his patented shoulder roll, but consider this--when Cotto improvised on his angles they landed on PBF's face (causing the initial damage to PBF's nose)....We know, (1) Pacquiao is the master of using unreal angles to connect, (2) is faster (than Cotto) and can put up the volume to overwhelm, and (3) is comparable to Cotto's power. I say Mayweather still leads in the odds, but it's not that big and he'll definitely have a long night with Pacquiao. If Mayweather is TOO cautious, there is a chance he will allow Pacquiao to dictate and lead in the scorecards, if he is TOO careless and get in a slugfest with Pacquiao, he'll end up with more than just a bloody nose. But if he does get into the right rhythm and game, he'll probably win.
I respectfully disagree when you say that Pac is Mayweather's kryptonite.

    1. Manny plants his feet before he engages and is easily countered. Pacquiao is a one dimensional fighter his strategy is the same relying solely on his speed and works well against sluggers and slower opponents.

Move around wait for opportunity - rush in to opponents weakside - flurry - get out. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Against Mayweather (who is by far faster than Pac) this simply won't work. Pac has a sorry a$$ jab that can't save his life and once he starts getting hit in the face he goes back to what he was programmed to do which eventually leads to him getting.... you guessed right, get hit in the face more.

    A. Rush in - plant feet - about to start flurry xxxxx gets jabbed in the stomach

    try again

    B. Rush in to Floyd's weakside - plant feet - meets Floyd's shell defense can't hit sh!t captain

    try again

    c. Try to slowly back Floyd to the ropes to set him up for a devastating left xxxxx gets countered by a 72" reach right straight

    D. Try plan A again.

okay. I want you to compare PBF's previous fights, particularly Ortiz's and Corales'. He is fighting with guys who are moderately strong and moderately fast--Those are considered to be PBF's toughest fights. I disagree that Floyd is faster than Pac. In fact, PBF's handspeed pales (yes you heard it right) compared to Pacquiao's. PBF is good at rolling out of jabs and straights, but you give him a volume of punches like Pacquiao's combinations coming from awkward angles, it will hit him. Cotto revealed this in the last fight--and that's Cotto we're talking about, not nearly as fast as Pacquiao but arguably equal in power. Mayweather has never, ever fought a guy who has both speed and power packed into one.

anyway, what fighter can land a powershot or throw combinations without planting their feet? you don't see punches on the fly do anything significant, except for points. Please enlighten.

I completely disagree with you also.....since in my opinion Manny will be executing his gameplan in the much anticipated fight of the century on that fight night. He will be more powerful than ever against the Negrong Bayot, more active and agile, great handspeed as ever especially now that He will not engage in late-night activities.....Have you noticed yesterday's fight NEGRONG BAYOT was slow and even confused with his style.....
