Unemployed for 6 months now. Would it hurt my application?

Hello istoryans,

I made a bad decision by not looking for a job after passing the board exam. I've started job hunting only recently and got only 1 exam appointment out of about a dozen companies I've applied to. Worst part is I think I didn't make it coz it's been 3 weeks now and I haven't got any calls yet.

Right now I can't help but feel depressed because most of my friends are already working.

To be fair though, I've also applied to trainings, scholarships and internship programs and have 2 interviews coming up. I am also doing some freelance work to earn a little while I'm working on my employment.

My question is, do you think employers would question why I've been unemployed for such a long time? Would it make them think I'm such a lazy ass? It was a bad decision really and I can't help but blame myself for it...

Anyone else felt the same thing during the time you were jobless? what's your advice?

para nako dili man na maka-affect sa imong job application. one possible reason why you were not accepted is how you answer the job interview. try again next time and read og mga tips on how to answer job interviews. makatabang na sa imo. ayaw lang pud obvious gimemorize nimo hehe. gudluck on ur job hunting!

expect that it would be one of the questions of your would be employer. their impression would depend much on your answer. but again, this is just one of the many questions. don't dwell much on this. rather, give an impression that you will be truly a best asset for the company.

90% sa interview bakak 10% ang tinood...wahahaha tra TS kuyog ta accenture ugma...ako 1year kapit nako unemployed pero freelance2x sad noon ko nya manage gamay sa negusyo ni mader...but i used to interact with friends who work in BPO industry pra sad naa koy idea unsay dagan sa sulod...basa2x gamay mga books, watching movie (english)...but most of all what i need right now is self confidence ra jud....
