I have the two Units. Both top of the line....Grandia very difficult to drive but VERY BIG INSIDE....leather seats, etc...nice long drive....the Starex can be driven daily and walay kapoy but long drive the seats are sakit in the back.
Engine in grandia very reliable both 1 year and 1 month old...same time palit. Now the Starex na ay sakit sa engine murag ni buto last week...dont know......also ang suspension murag mu buto or matagak every time hit a hump or hole.....dont know why bisag gamay na hump or hole.....
I have a Hyundai H-100 brand new same problem with the starex....and grandia katung sensor sa engine ra nag problema now fixed (one day sad pag fix kay daghan ug customer sa downtown)....First did not want to sell the starex kay dili kapoy drivan everyday...sold it yesterday kay labad sa ulo (sold it for 1,080,000 from 1,850,000-(insurance included) and grandia dili lang naku baligya kay I have driver........if no drive maybe baligya naku sad but maybe after 5 years or more....dont understand why grabe mu depriciate and hyundai and quality. pero nindut design like genesis.....even sa equus nindtuan ku the new one....tried the equus very reliable.
i have still the H-100 na a pay warranty and willing to sell it but hyundai will not trade it like Kia....oh well .....if someone interested in H-100 hyundai....let me know.....last two years ago bought a starex and also same problem i have especially going to mountains.....nindut baya gyud ang starex sa first year and nindut drive dinhi sa cebu but if daily driven wont last long here sa streets of cebu....sayang baya because lost a lot of money. i dont know sa grandia (my frist toyota grandia).....dont want to sell it and 1 year na and no problem pa gyud so far.....if still to reliability go with grandia.....also the sliding doors sa starex naku the old and new had to fixed na....also there are two korean repair shops that know how to fix the hyundia and kia very good....recommend not to go to CASA for hyundai problems after no warranty....i have both units repaired and can not find the problem till know....told me to wait because still under warranty.....will update you when my unit goes out of the CASA.....

Agree, kasuway mig starex sa una we bought it BN, nag mahay man noun mi, base amo experience ni ha, lain2x mag tag na experience, mao na karon we stick to japanese cars.

OT: bro ang turbo kay forced induction na cya sa air kung maabot gani og 5K-6k rpm mao nana ang pag gana sa turbo, ang purpose sa intercooler kay bugnaw ang hangin musulud sa makina mas kusug og boost nya since diesel na cya init jd ang makina mano nang naa juy intercooler hope i help

sa akong nahibaw an, ang turbo ky mutabang ug boost sa engine's horsepower.
pero ang turbo ky dli na sya ma gamit dayon2. mu work lng na sya or ma trigger lng na sya at a certain speed. for example, sa akong tarak2, mu work lng sya kng mu abot nko ug 80km/h nga dagan. nya mas gaan na paminawn ang makina. ahm, i'm not sure if ma lessen na ang workload sa makina.

in fairness pd sa starex, ok baya jd xa, especially ang interior nya. mas lapad lang jd sya compared sa Super Grandia. comfortable mnpd sya,pero mas comfortable lng jd ang Super Grandia. and then ang makina sa starex naa sa gawas, so mas ok sya kng check2x kysa hi ace. and honestly, kng mag test drive sa 2, neck to neck battle sya. hehe
But I will stick to Super Grandia, based lng sa nakita nko and na experience pd. hehe proven nmn ang hiace for years bsan ingon sa uban murag ref nga nai ligid haha

i agree nga mas nindut ang jap(toyota), but naay nag ingun nako ang ilang quality control run sa hyundai kay european quality daw kay ang ilang designer run kay designer pd sa VW og BMW and we know how ang quality sa bmw og VW so igo for hyunda )
