i'm interested to try aning Ubuntu OS... currenty, nag download pa ko sa ISO installer (ver 11.10... 64 bit)... wla ra ba ko'y alamag sa ani na OS... hope dili ko mag ka muritsing ani unya... i'm planing to build a mini-ITX system then try ko gamit sa ani na OS...

by the way, ask ko kun asa maayo na OS for a HTPC... Win 7 (64 bit) or Ubuntu (64 bit)?

mao ni ang HW... another question pud. tinuod ba na dili na mag ask ug HW drivers ang Ubuntu?

2)# ping Google (from windows & linux, for the sake of comparison)
3)# mtr Google - (press ug "d", then capture ang screen para makita ang details)

nibalik man sya.. wired ni ako connection boss P-Chan 11.10 pud ako gamit.. mag ping ko sa google mag putol2 pila ka minutes din balik na pud din putol na pud. Wa man problema sa Windows hasta ang isa ka PC nga XP ok ra pud.. kini ra jud sa ubuntu.. gi dual boot ni nako.

bro, gi unsa nimo ug load sa driver? ni action ug patay ang akong wifi adapter then ang ako na kuha sa CD-R King di ka connect.. cge lang pangayo sa password nya sakto man ako gi butang..

had installed Ubuntu 11.10 (64 bit) on my daughter's HTPC... its my 1st time to use linux distribution OS... my 1st impression is that, this OS is nice... for me, its almost the same as an android... the only driver during the installation that was needed from the 3rd party is that of the GPU... the system downloaded automatically the linux drivers from AMD's site... set up was a breeze. once my mini-ITX project will be up & running, i'll install again Ubuntu's 64 bit OS on that PC... full HD movies (1080P) are playin' great!

it is very exciting to have a new experience on this new OS for me...

yes bro, working tanan peripherals including the WIFI dongle (150Mbps) and the blue tooth dongle w/c i bought dha sa CDR king last year... no issues whatsoever sa tanan installed HW sa HTPC... kun mo dagan lang tanan games ug apps sa other 2 desktops nako, lami i-migrate tanan sa Ubuntu... hehehe...

full hd movies, music, skype ug browsing the net ra ang application sa HTPC nako bro... para ni sa akoang anak. na adik man sya sige'g tan-aw ug downloaded movies so, nag DIY lang ko dri aning HTPC nya... old technology ra ni pero, ok gyud kaayo for its intended application. para ma free ug magamit ang PC sa balay for general computing and games...

nag install ra man ko ug VLC gabi-i... after na install ang driver sa GPU (ASUS EAH5450 Silent)... smooth as silk ang dagan nya sa mga full hd movies... unlike atong wala pa ma install ang driver, naa'y dropped frames na mabantayan nato.
