    Before you buy, just make sure your motherboard supports SATA and that you have SATA drivers in a floppy disk if you're installing Windows. Windows will ask SCSI/drivers during installation and if you don't load them using the floppy, the OS won't be able to see your SATA drive

    You don't usually need to install SATA drivers bro. I've used four motherboards before my current board, all of them supports SATA bro. I-plug lang imo SATA nga disk bro then install as usual (thru your CD-ROM). Ma-detect niya kung unsa nga disk ang naa sa imo system bro, i-format na dayon as NTFS. Magkinahanglan ra ka drivers bro kung mag-RAID ka during installation sa Windows.

    I think what he meant was using Windows 98 OS, SATA controllers (150/300) are natively supported by WindowsXP, unless its a daughter controller (PCI Cards) which chipset controllers are not in XP or later driver database library..

    I still recommend getting the latest drivers for your SATA controllers under WindowsXP.

    Ah, Windows 98 diay, sorry. Basta nag download ra sad ko ug updates gikan sa naghimo sa ako motherboard.

    bro, just check your mobo manual kay nakaindicate na didto kung musupport imo mobo.
