first things first.. my initial post was not merely focused on TS's case. unless i quoted any post he has made like i did on my 2nd.
1. again not focused on TS's case as i read every response on this thread before i made mine. try reading the other posts, perhaps you'll understand why i discussed that matter here. am i required to quote every post my message was intended for so as not to be "misunderstood" by a few?
2. i guess this is very sensible enough... "Buyer's Responsibility". you undoubtly stated on your post... "he said unnecessary things about your case....". Well, had i done so i would have just highlighted a part from TS's original post one of which he/she clearly admitted to himself/herself... read the line below;
"....kaso, kani laging dile ta kabalo sa iphone, ana cya tungod daw sa wifi. mao to, gibayran nako ug 8t...". <----- will this be "necessary" enough?
the suspect is the scammer of course and the associate/accomplice is the victim as well, clear logic. and to be specific, NEGLIGENCE / IGNORANCE / LACK OF AWARENESS are the main ingredients for this to happen and it is by all means not the seller/scammer who will possess these negative behaviors.
it is not my intention to sound harsh towards TS, i just don't sympathize to this kind of situation any longer. alot of similar cases occurred already in the past and some of the victims even posted the actual pictures of the accused scammer, YET why is it that there are still people who become victims by these as$#*les!! are the threads made by the other victims NOT ENOUGH to teach us the risks in online trades and how to avoid such incident from happening to us?
i hope that should clear things now...

hhhmm... based sa description, dili kaha ni si JOHNKUA, JONKUA, or unsa ba to... murag gidungog man ni sauna nga mamaligyaay sad ug guba....
First off sorry if I might have misunderstood the post but the callousness of the lack of sympathy really gets to me.
Second yes I get the part of the buyer's responsibility but clearly it was mostly seller's misinformation (Not stating that theres a defect, by forum rules I think thats stated in there) and the fact "phone hanging" does not always merit a hardware problem. Another is TS clearly stated he CONTACTED THE SELLER a day after the deal was made. TS clearly took initiative.
The way I see it man gud is the way people handle cases like this here is people prosecute starting from the victim(or accomplice from your description) rather than proving innocence of the suspect (which of course is the logical way of going about it) then if falsely accused it is when we start prosecuting the plaintiff AKA victim AKA TS.
Just because incidents like this recur over and over again does not merit lack of sympathy from people. Once again I get it, Ignorance is not an excuse but if we all were doubtful of every thing we do nothing will get done. Looy pud ang mga legit sellers sa istorya. TS and most buyers still put trust in sellers here in istorya so at least we should have a decency as decent members of the site to at least help in anyway we can despite recurrence. Ganahan paman kaha ta nga saligan ang istorya and its members? I mean if that attitude was applied to hospitals walay matambalan anymore.
"Nano manambal paman ko as a doctor kung magsige ramog kasamad. Kapoy nakog tambal ninyo" = See how that goes?
As for recurrence, theres really not much we can do except keep in mind the dangers and the people who bring forth incidents like this. For the buyer, live and learn. For the seller, we keep in mind what he has done and be on watch because theres really nothing stopping him/her from re-registering back on the site. Still its hard indeed because we view these accounts as different people like jkua, jokua and now this guy. So as a decent member and fellow victim I still sympathize with TS kay its really not easy to earn that 8k. Thats half a month's salary for me right there. Half a month of grueling, night to morning work.
Welcome to Istorya.netvery fresh account you have there.
ok so that you and i will have better understanding, let's apply that to real life...
majority will always be "selling" threads sa Buy and Sell section sir.. as for the buyer, its just like they went to a mall/public market then just find the things they want/need. being able to post a "want to buy" thread is what i see as a luxury for those who are quite a bit "tapolan mangita" for the item they intened or planned to buy.
it's alright. nothing to apologize at all actually. i kind of expect that to happen, since discussing in this way is challenging compared to verbal communication where we can really emphasize ideas so everyone will understand the way we want it.
"live and learn" that's basically the point and top it off with "once is enough for a wise man". it really is sad to hear what TS has experienced, but i cant put all the blame on the seller because of this "....kaso, kani laging dile ta kabalo sa iphone....". makalagot lang gyd honestly huna2x-on... admit mn diay si TS nga di siya sweto ug iphone pero nag tuga2x p mn gyd siya ug meet up with matching test the unit pa. grabeng kompyansa niya to think 8,000 Php ang mawala niya.
wala man gud scammer nga magpahibaw sa ilang motives.. well maski pinaka trusted seller pa kung tuyo-on na jud sa seller nga daoton iyang name, pwede siya mka scam. nka pait sa uban buyers, sobra ra kaayo ang salig e hatag towards the seller kay lagi "istoryan". diha masayop permi..
as for me, practical reasons lang gyd ning ako... "i dont trust anyone on the internet." pwera nalang jud kung daghan testimonies from their customers nga trusted and good ang seller, and provided nga ma verify gyd nko iyang identity. hinaot wala nay ma biktima p...
and btw, good for you it only takes half a month to get that amount as your paycheck.![]()
