If the photos were indeed that bad, IMHO, the students deserve to be punished. But then, ideally, the punishments should have been made as private as possible. I do not see the point of having to publicize it for all their classmates to know. Actually, no big deal gyud na kung dili lang kapaso. Ako pa gani na ipalatigo kung ako nang anak. But as someone pointed out here, if all these hoopla caused these students not able to get admitted to the college of their choice, di sad na sakto sa part sa STC administration. Their job is supposed to help their students go to the best college possible. Dili sad nga they'll make it difficult or impossible for their students to proceed to their ideal university due to an incident that happened outside of their school pa gyud. If na jeopardize gyud ang college prospects aning 5 students, luoy pud kaayo. Ang kana gani mga nabuntis, tabangan pa gani unta na kay luoy sad baya sila nga single mother sila at such a young age, dili kanang samotan pa nimo kalisod ang ilang situation nga gusto na nimo mag hikog na lang sila.

STC Admin should know that they may have a handbook but their handbook is not gospel truth. Especially not outside the walls of the school. The Constitution, human rights and the laws of the land should take precedence over a student handbook. It's easy to say if you don't like what's written in the handbook, then transfer schools. Then should it follow that if the school doesn't follow the laws of the country, then ask them to transfer to another country?

The school admin cornered the students. The parents cornered the school. And no one will back off. Ambot na lang jud. Vengeance na lang mo diha both sides.

the students definitely know the policies of the school...and i'm quite sure that the student's handbook are always updated...

a document is nothing compared to the psychological effect the other part of the sanction can do
kompromiso(they(STC) did...they granted the previous appeals of the parents but the parents tend to be abusive and asked for more) nlng pud unta to. in favor of the student. if that happened(if thats really the case)
wla unta na muabot aning storyaha... niyabo-ay ang show(who fed this issue to the public?the parents, right?coz they wanted revenge and they're trying hard to get the sympathy of the people with the help of media which i believe is a wrong move since it only cause more humiliation to the children involved...remember?STC kept their silence until the parents went to the media and now created a big buzz...also, if u are one of the parents, would that mean you are going to tolerate lousy acts of your minor children?i don't think so, right?STC, just like other institutions, have their own policies and implemented it...the students must comply...)

in the end, its gonna be the court who is going to decide
but the sad thing is, its not about the issue above but the issue filed in court
and to add to that, the STC's action against the TRO
just for the school to get the last laugh(so you really believe it was intentional(on the side of STC)?wasn't that clearly stated that they just followed what their lawyer said that it(TRO) was(TRO) defective?
is this how STC admins bring pride to themselves?
*@jcgoyong: (dli nato gub.on atong friendship tungod ani ha?hahahahaha) i'm not on the shool's(STC) side... i'm just trying to point out as well my POV...kay if ni stick lang unta sa agreement between sa parents(kay total nipirma man cla sa kasabutan) and school, kng wala nlng unta gipadaku and gi open sa public...dli unta ni maabot ug in ani, dba?basin huna2x sa parents nga if modangop cla sa media mapressure ang STC and modecide nlng nga papasuhon ang students(wrong move again kay, as far as i know, STC always stand by their policies...they may bend it a "little" but they won't change it...they only compromise but then again not to the extent nga mabaliwala lang ilang policies...)...naluoy nlng nuon ko sa students involved kay tungod sa issue nga nidaku kay mas dghan na hinuon bati nga panghitabo ang nadugang like issue about other schools if mo enroll sila sa college kay dli na daw cla dawaton; mga lake nga nag hinam2x ug view sa mga pics(coz it wasn't just one pic...dghan baya to...), etc... and i believe these are more traumatic for the students involved, dba? mao na, sa kdghanan, let's leave it to the people who handled the case and the people involved nlng...kay bugbog sarado na kaau ang mga involved...

Sa akong nahibaw-an, this issue is kept very confidential. It is the parents na dili ka dawat ang infact ni publicized ani. ni file cla case and the issue become publicized.. and i don't think STC made it sure na impossible mag college ang mga students. instead man gani of giving a personality grade of D na supposed to be mao jud ang stated sa handbook, g change man gani to C.. chance naman cguro na.. unfair man pud if i B or A for other students right?

and will fb pics qualify as evidence? The question also is, are all the nuns and school admins really investigating the facebook pics on each student? Is that part of their job to investigate and police every student's affair outside the school?

If someone or one of your friend posted a picture of your hacked fb account and the picture showed you were smoking marijuana with eyes closed lying down like sleeping and with all your friends circling around you laughing was also in the picture. And truly you were just drunk on that event and got passed out and never smoke marijuana but your friends made a practical joke on you and someone with a bad motive hacked your fb account and posted the pic made it public and submitted to the police with anonymous name. And you're fired from work and put to jail bec. of that pic, will that say justice is served? Will you feel justified and deserving of such penalty?
there is an investigation done.. i don't authorities are illogical and unreasonable... there are basis for sure.. yeah, there is privacy settings, but as I have said, bsan kinsa ra man gud sa imong mga friends ang maka view and maka copy ana gawas if only you can see the picture. Then, for all you know, ang imong picture g pistahan na d i sa uban mga lalaki nga actually dili nimo friends.. Actually, murag security lang bya jud sa mga bata ang concern jud sa school.. sa mga internet cafe btw, maka witness jud q mga pics nga pistahan nya d n man na cla kuha ana nga pics if private jd na.. if wala pa na g delete kana ila mga pictures sa fb, do u think la pa na nato nakita an karun? dugay ra na publish..

true jud ni.. infact naa man gani q friends na ma shock na lang sila naa ilang mga pics sa other account of person they do not know..
one thing also.. usually, if mag save as ka ug pic, ma save man jud na sa computer (applicable in internet cafes), sometimes, if u are not so aware, u will forget when u leave that those pictures are still in the computer because you forgot to delete it or if imong na delete naa pa sa recycle bin na pwede pa i restore. Other computers are not set na i permanently delete daun na imong gpang delete...
