You're right bro but the point of earth hour is just to minimize our energy consumption for the entire world even in just an hour
just to save the situation of our mother earth.

We can not blame for those who will not participate of the said activity because they have a reason why, they don't participate because of business reason that can affect the stability status of there business. It is just like you are reading the entire page of this thread some other people don't know the happenings of the said date because they are busy for their everyday living activities.

the purpose may be in good intention for an hour but what about the remaining 23 hours for that day alone and not yet equating the next 364 day cycle? I mean it's just symbolic for that moment but after that what happens? still turning on power-hungry appliance, burning too much gas in automobiles, do this and that...

what needs to be done, is to have a grand long-term plan, by that, this so called "earth hour" will be in fruition

Nothing. You just hope and pray that people take the message of Earth Hour to heart and make changes in their own ways, whether it's by being smarter with electronic devices or by pressuring government to pass updated energy legislation.

well, I can't explain further why they make that just for one hour. let just wait for the others here to share there ideas why
only one hour for earth hour why they don't make it 24 hrs, but that can be possibly happen if wala pa jud untang mga badlongon sa aton katilingban.
