mu acquire pud unta ato government ug mga baril para sa ato Philippine navy.. I've just noticed na ato philippine navy wala kaayo latest sub machine guns.. mostly lang nako nakita are rifles like M16's, garrand and some multirole rifles like steyr scout AWG and comando rifle..
how i wish they could also acquire brand new sub machine guns like MP5 navy, P90 or AK47 submachine gun type.. AFAIK these submachine guns are a reliable weapon for their ambush purposes because of it's small size but greater impact on the body once being hitted for their enemies hiding around mountainous areas like mindanao so that they can have greater edge against NPA's, abu sayyaf or tactical alliance of both rebels..
our naval forces are also lacking weapons, so I think its not impulsive to suggest like that to our government since our soldiers are lacking in brand new rifles, easy to carry but can have 30-50 bullets per ammo submachine guns and can exceed harshest environment weapons..
BTW I'm no soldier or law enforcer, just a plain admirer of our government's SECURITY FORCES hoping that it will be sufficed with adequate equipments to fight terrorism and scum of the society who doesn't believe in LAW.
Wish the SoKor would give more freebies this time... The 2 Pohang Class Corvette to be decommissioned seems a nice addition to the Navy.... SoKor are known to give freebies whenever someone buys from them...
sir i think sge man ug purchase both ang military ug police mga armas.. brandnew. its just the model thats its old..yet too effective man sad. AK47 is a no-no natoh diri mahal kaau ang bala plus Government Arsenal only produces the 5.56. p90? jeez daghan na kaau nah m16 mapalit ana, its what they already called luxury and not practicality.. mp5 hmmm its only good in close quarter battle.. but some SWAT units from different cities has it.. and host city man sad ang mo provide ngali sah ilang armas sad
all in all sir.. what you suggest is plain luxury lang not practical hehehe.. BTW, AK47's maybe cheap, but its bullets arent.

m16/m4 platform suits the navy so no need for mp5 (which is heavy and less range) and other fancy stuff as well as other smg's.been with navy and marine personnel (navsog and force recon) and they performed very well with m16s and m4s.besides they know what they need and should include their requirements in their acquisition plans.if you didn't see any mp5,ak or p90 that means they don't need it or don't need it yet. by the way, bug-at diay ang silenced m3 grease gun.

kung naay funds, palit unta ang pinas weapons by tony stark's Stark Industries. (idol man gud nako si iron man)
seriously, back to thread title, this is defenitely good news, albeit this does not increase our military strenght in relation to our neigboring countries in any way. im sure our military leaders are aware na kulang jud ta ug military might compared sa atong mga silingan nga may laing tuyo sa atong resources.
