    if the gov't only supports Filipino inventors/scientist, then we don't need to buy anymore.

    we dont have plans just yet in sending pinoys in the moon so we dont need such inventions like the moon buggy. FYI the moon buggy was design by a "group"

    let me put it this way....

    Before the govt can pour some funds over an inventions has to be properly documented with working prototype and most of all naa nay patent...

    do you know hard to apply for a patent? not easy... daghan na mga surambaw sauna nga gisuportahan sa govt pero and ending way ayo... so why spend something that is not sure... ever wonder ngano kasagaran tech nag gisupport is agri-tech ug food-tech?

    support from the govt means funds...

    naa nana sa pipeline sa modernization before, AFP modernization is not forgotten its just prioritizing na sila...

    we have ASW capabilities sauna... IHMO we dont need to get a new one, just upgrade our rotary asset into ASW capable platform

    if we want to get our ASW capabilities back we also need to invest on Detection... which is another acquisition...

    a threat from an ASM is most likely than a threat of torpedo attack, and ASM can either be launch from air or ship... and most of the time it is launch beyond the horizon

    ASM = Anti Ship Missile

    pwede kaayo, sokol afaik has a naval variant, W-3RM / W-3WARM 'Anakonda'

    even UH-1, MD520, S-70, BO-105 can be converted into a naval variant, however some of this may limited capacity and space...
