Mayor Michael Rama did the correct thing by saying the city government is now addressing the problems raised by Sieczka. But he went overboard by saying people might even be enticed to come and see for themselves the veracity of the American’s claims.

One right move, one wrong move there.

To these complaints, councilor Margot Osmeña took umbrage. Osmeña said Sieczka should go home to the United States if he does not like it here. That is an unfortunate reaction that does not solve the problem one way or the other.

When will our leaders take criticism objectively instead of emotionally? Sending someone out of the country will NOT solve the problems raised in the video.

There was nothing in the Sieczka video that was not true, which is probably why Rama saw the futility of arguing against it.

At least Mayor Rama tried to handle the truth head on.

I showed the vid to one of my friends and he told me that not all public places have CRs like those. He told me that SM and Ayala are public places but with clean CRs. What a dumba$$. SM and Ayala are private properties. Henry Sy and the Ayalas own them. And that's actually why they're clean because the government is not the one maintaining them.

I definitely agree to 85% to 90% of what the American has said in the vid. Where else in the world can you find a terrorist or rebel group that is named MILF?
