Kaiser.. supported by Cocolife and has the 3rd largest trust fund of all healthcare in the Philippines. I wonder if that's a good indication of stability?

OK. Let me answer the TS question. If you stop your Kaiser plan, you will receive your cash value (It's in the policy). affected by financial crisis? No.

    My answer is "it depends".

Just as an info (especially to those who still don't know how Kaiser Long Term Health Care works), Kaiser LTH is payable for 5 years and within that 5 years, you have the common benefits that you get from other health care companies. What differs Kaiser from short term companies is that after the payment period of 5 years, your "health care/health insurance" will compound 10% annually and will mature after 10 years. So 5 years of paying plus another 10 years to mature, that's 15 years. After the 15th year, you are entitled to take the bonus (the 10% that compounds every year), the amount of your health insurance, and 75% of what you paid. You also have the option to let Kaiser keep it. If you won't take your funds or if you have some left in Kaiser, it will continue to compound 7% to 12% annually depending on the market.

Now for the question. Pregnancy and maternity is not covered within the 5-year payment period because pregnancy is not an illness. However, since you have the choice to do whatever you want with the money after 15 years, then thats the time pregnancy is covered because you can use your money in Kaiser to pay for your hospital bills.

Why Kaiser? Because it is designed to protect our pockets once we get old. We get sickly once we get old and we may no longer have company issued health care plans.
