wala pa na gi himo ang 100% efficiency bro... and aside from efficiency, naa pay laing factors in choosing a good PSU like its voltage regulation rating, Noise and Ripple.

Ang pasabot nya bro kay, efficiency is one factor but it cannot be the sole basis of a psu's value.

Ex: a 600w psu can get bronze certification even if it only has 40A on the 12v rail..
    vs:
    a 550w true rated non-bronze with a guaranteed 45A on the 12v..

    Which is the better choice?

bro, don't take it literally. if you're fond of reading PSU reviews from different review sites then you know. As what ive stated above, dili lang efficiency ang bases if mo palit ka ug good quality PSU kay naa pay laing factors nga i consider.

50% load or 50% percent power factor? Dili mangud na parehas.
Yes sakto ako giingon. This means nga kon naa kay 600W nga PSU, pinakaefficient cya kon ang load nga iya supplyan is around 300W more or less.

Hehehe... Libog man sab ko aning linyaha bro.

Again, you can only achieve the highest efficiency at 50% load and not at 20% or 100%. So kon maestimate ni TS nga around 300watts ang "average" power consumption sa iya rig (based on the average usage) then he should go buy 600w or 550w but not 850w or beyond. Basin man gud matintal cya sa 850w kay kasagaran raba sa 850w Gold certified raba...It will be an overkill.

    100% = 85%

PFC .90 at 50% = Power Factor Correction

Imo gi round off ang .89?

Hehehe... Of course mahal jud ang Gold certified kay kasagaran ani nila naa naman sa 850w or more ang rating. The higher the wattage rating, the more expensive it will become. Pero if ang average load is naa lang sa 300w, I'd rather buy a 600w Bronze certified kay barato ra then ma achieve sab ang maximum power transfer. Kon SST-ST60F-P ang basehan, makakuha ta ug 87.45% nga PF. Kon SST-ST1000-G (which is Gold cert.) ang paliton para sa 300w nga average load, you will just be throwing cash.... overkill ra kaayo ni para nako then gamay ra difference sa efficiency.

Lisud na da atik-atik ug certification then bati ug overall performance.
