either way....u can have both...
`ambot? . . d ko sure . ahaha
ambot murag "NO"cguro ni ambot lang hehhhe
ambot have so many different meanings that to start to make sense of it all, we can start with something that is definite: the way that it is said. kita bayang mga bisaya kay maka ila gyud ta kung ang pag sulti sa imong ka storya ug ambot kay ambot ba nga wala gyud siya kabalo, ambot nga wala siyay pakialam, ambot nga dalang paning.hag, ug uban pa. but then again, naa sad na gi unsa ug sabot sad sa listener.
IMHO, ambot is a classic exemplification of the indirectness of us filipinos (specifically us cebuanos). i'm not saying that being indirect is a bad thing, i'm just saying that being indirect almost always gives you an open-ended answer (which counts for nothing if you ask a yes or no question). parehas ra na ug mangutana ka "ni kaon na ka o wala?" unya ang tubag kay "uu" - what does that mean? uu nga ni kaon na ka or uu nga wala pa ka ni kaon? mas maau pa mangutana ka ug "ni kaon na ka?" to make it clear, but then again, indirectness governs our mode of speech.
with that in mind, i think ambot is just as close to no as it is close to yes, but it is closer to ambiguity. hence, ambot is ambot. nyahahahahaha
safe answer
ambot ts, wala ko kahibaw kun ambot yes ba na or no..
