    Default decision making during disaster

regarding to what happened last monday, here in our beloved city of cebu. the earthquake happens here, in cebu, ryt? so this is my question, if ever a disaster happens who will decide on what to do on the operation of a certain company, the safety of its employees? as far as my knowledge is concern it is the management who is managing that institution where it's located, ryt?

I am not distroying the name of the mall but I am just against on the way they deal with there employees.

for the entire day cebu experienced so many aftershocks, some commercial establishment had to close there stores early, so there employees can check on there families and other belongings. even though we are not located at the epicenter of the earthquake. sad to say one mall didn't close up early cause they need to ask permission to there head office which is located at manila. so they had to close around 730pm since the main office approves there request to close early. ang ako lang what if (simbako) ang mall kay masunog or linogon ug maau ang cebu di pa sila pwdi pa uli on kay tungod mangayo pa sila ug permiso sa manila para manirado. wa di ay ka tungod ang management sa mall dinhi sa cebu nga mag decide nga mo close ug sayo kay tungod sa disaster. para nako nay sayop sa ilang chain of command, nganong maghuwat pa man sa manila nga mo approve nga ang disaster naa man dinhi sa cebu. di lang ni nahitabo kaisa kadaghan ni nga mag huwat pa sa approval sa manila para maka uli or manirado ug sayo ang ilang mall.

ing ana di ay na ilang pama agi?

bro, it's the management's decision..chain of commands...kami gani that time ganahan na muuli maski amu managers, but the president did not allow us to leave...so waley choice, tawag nlng sa family if safe sila and we made it to the point nga safe pud mi....

Whether you like it or not, the store manager cannot close down the entire mall without prior approval of his/her superiors...or he might face the consequence of it all..

disaster is bold word... i prefer not to use it if you refer cebu... because we have no disaster...

if disaster jud bro, i guess naa jud nay protocol, depending sa extremity sa panghitabo, emergency actions kumbaga, but what we experience in cebu isnt a disaster, , ,kung studihan nimog maayu tong situation, murag ang gaunauna sa chaos nga nahitabo sa cebu kay mga kawatan, , ,if ikaw ang manager sa company/mall and you know that your liable kung unsay mahitabo sa establishment, since ikaw may incharge, RESPONSIBILITY nimo nah, and its your responsibility also to follow your head, , ,kung manila base ang inyung company then magwait jud kag orders sa imung head, thats SOP to mostly ALL COMPANIES, , ,di na sila kaboot2 ug ilaha, , ,if makita sa head nga undercontrol pa ang situation or tolerable(the aftershocks) then mag open pajud na sila, , ,
