Just curious: do any of you play tabletop roleplaying games, such as Dungeons and Dragons?
If not, could you explain why (unless you haven't heard of such a thing).

@Agentfrost if you want to be updated with the pre-releases just join NG's group on FB (Log In | Facebook)
@hounded yeah I play DnD, it's quite fun but needs alot of commitment and enthusiastic players to be worth playing
correct. only played it once with friends and didn't even finish the adventure-- when we stopped:
- our druid in giant mole form was digging furiously trying to get us away from an army of dark paladins
- our paladin was unconscious
- and we were all pissing our pants (figuratively) urging the mole/druid to hurry up!

Thanks for your very valuable, insightful views, gamergirl921. Tabletop RPGs indeed need a lot of commitment and enthusiasm from everybody, always more than two (including the game master).
I'm asking as I'm a game master too, with one committed player left. Most of my former players are now working, so they've no more time and energy for playing tabletop RPGs. I do not use D&D for my games, but I've played one D&D adventure with a different game master. D&D is too complex and cumbersome for me. I prefer simpler systems like Savage Worlds. Right now, I'm interested in game-mastering an even simpler type of tabletop RPG, which does not use dice, just regular playing cards. Since my friend and I are presently hooked with the "Game of Thrones" TV series, I'm interested in setting the adventures in the fictional world of the TV series.
