It does not matter if that person has a tattoo on his/her body.

Besides the school are not hiring employee.

Students are there to learn and not to work for the school.

For as long as the student has a good moral conduct
    i agree to this bro!!

Gihatag na nato ang students manual for us to read, not just design. Remember always "ignorance of the law excuses no one" . . . Im not refering to the law sa land, but law sa school. Read the manual please before you do anything which you think is against the school policy. Kay once its on the policy, wa na jud tay mahimo ana.
i remember sa among time when they imposed the UNIFORM policy !! those policy were not on the MANUAL at our time but still they pursue the said policy without the consent of the students which will be greatly affected on the policy so mao to ga rally2 and no doubt gyd na against ang mga student ani and i know nga kaibao cla nga majority ang against but still they ignore that..

one thing i learn from this skul is that Freedom is only found on papers they are not real! those policies are for their own good but not for the student or community as well.

in this school you'll learn different styles of racial discrimination and injustice.. thats how it works there and get used to it and im lucky i survived !

-> wa koy kalagot sa skul hap just that ako lng g state ang akong experience and nakita sa situation dd2

ang ako ma suggest nimo is be a student activist - either a petition or a protest.

or simply accept defeat and move on. it's not the end of the world.

But expect the same experience again as you enter employment.

I made a post yesterday, and the question is (since mao na man gyud na ang ila rules so reality forces us to make priorities) what are you willing to give up to get into this institution and get that education?

FYI to other people: Tattoos CAN be removed. Laser tattoo removal is available in many dermatology clinics here in cebu. ambot lang how it looks after, but you DO have a choice. Just saying.
I'm not going to erase my tattoos permanently ma'am. But I'm planning to hide it with make-up (airbrush) Just like skeleton boy in Lady Gaga's latest music video.
I love my body art so much because it has a lot of meaning to me and I've paid a lot of money on these. That's the reason why I won't resort to permanent removal. Plus I've heard it hurts like hell! So no way Jose!

...dude! I would just like to tell you naa jud school na strict they should have to obey thier rules and regulation, and i believe of thier rules is that i-discourage nila ang student nga naay mga tatoos because they don't destroy ther own school's name. labi naning mga catholic schools... bawal jud na ila, i would say that because we have same situation when i was in college. wala tay mahim kung ing-ana sila mo-look down sa mga students with tatoos even tatoo nowadays are just a body art nalang. "Just stick to the steak" as they are saying...

In the part were you have to be interviewed by the chairman of your department, all hell broke loose when the chairman noticed my tattoos in my arm. Don't get me wrong I was wearing a pretty big shirt, big enough to hide my body art. As soon as she saw my ink, the chairman immediately closed my folder, didn't even bother looking at my previous grades, behavioral records and whatnot. "We do not accept students who have tattoos! This is a formal institution, we don't allow our students to look like ex-convicts. It is in our student's manual" those were the exact words the chairman told me if my memory serves me well. I did everything in my power to try and convince them but they're decision was firm.

The only thing that hurts me the most is that there are a lot of students in that school who has tattoos which are placed in the most noticeable areas of the body e.g.: neck, forearm, inner arm, below the elbow and etc. I think those students placed their tattoos in those area because they want to flaunt it, "para bagsik ug cool kunohay". While me, trying so hard to hide it but got rejected. I tried to reason with them that I'll wear long-sleeved shirts every single day, but again they didn't bother listening to me.

I think what they've done to me is a form of discrimination. They took away my right to a quality education just because I have tattoos. Very stereotypical people. They should consider revising their "RULE BOOK" because having tattoos is normal in our time. And to think that I already have a tattoo on my back when I first enrolled in that institution. I have been a part of that school's family since elementary, that is why it breaks my heart knowing that I could never EVER enroll in my beloved school again. SCIENTIA, VIRTUS ET DEVOTIO!

Share if you had the same experience as I have.
