It does not matter if that person has a tattoo on his/her body.

Besides the school are not hiring employee.

Students are there to learn and not to work for the school.

For as long as the student has a good moral conduct
sakto . . . Pero you have to understand, nga each institution has its own values and rules and regulation. Rules and regulations does not limit itself to "good moral conduct" . . . Ang lesson ani read the rules and regulation. Ang problema man gud sa mga tao karun, even me, maglisud ug basa ug mga libro nga puro letra. Gihatag na nato ang students manual for us to read, not just design. Remember always "ignorance of the law excuses no one" . . . Im not refering to the law sa land, but law sa school. Read the manual please before you do anything which you think is against the school policy. Kay once its on the policy, wa na jud tay mahimo ana.

At least they must gave the student a chance to have his tattoo erase and enroll back.

    & TS, about your school:

hmmm... i got nothing. & by nothing i mean i don't have anything good to say about it.

Been there done that! mao rani akong na sinati ana akong gibuhat, kun dili ipasa-pasa, makasab-an pa, ug insulto.

It is terrible that the university has such a close-minded and parochial approach towards things as trivial as a person's appearance. I think borderline discrimination gani na. But on the other hand, it is their rules, so for now, wa jud kay mahimo bro. Not unless they decide to make sweeping reforms to the student manual. But it would probably take a major precedent to compel them to change rules that worked fine for them since the very beginning. Skwela nalang sa UP, at least sure jud wlay discrimination didto.haha.

Share if you had the same experience as I have.
migo, you cannot blame the institution if it really is written in their manuals. pero i would not blame her alone for the situation, even her has gone overboard over the comments she made against you. maski pa naai tattoo, wa siya katungod musulti ana tungod sa iya position gipanguptan.

on the other hand migo, that is the price you pay for surrendering your freedom to an institution. kai not every right of a person is acknowledged once you enter an organization or an institution for this matter. kai maskig akoi tag-iya sa eskwelahan migo, i will be strict towards implementing school rules. kai ako mai tag-iya. di na kailanman katungod sa tawo ang education para i-exempt siya sa rules.

kai ug eskwelahan lang ang imo problema migo, naai public schools diha na pwede mudawat nimo. you for one should know na ug private imo sudlan, muluhod dyud ka in terms of surrendering your freedom over their rules.

as to being unfair of implementing their rules, it's their call migo. and what's more, life wasn't always fair. ergo migo, ang plight sa 3rd *** for example? kanang kutya ug discrimination na makuha nila that is not even called for pero mga EDUKADOng tawo would do anyway para lang makapanaway.

so cheer up. not everything in life makuha nato. naa dyuy mga kabiguan sa life nato. what's important is to never give up. and never forget to pray GENUINELY. kanang di lang kai nagkinahanglan kag tabang karon. but rather doing good things and praying at the same time.

sad but true...maka sulti jd ko nga obsolete na kaayu ng tambag sa atong mga ginikanan nga "study hard, get good grades, and you'll get a good job", sa panahon karon, it is not always the case...it's also about diskarte sa kinabuhi...

discrimination is still very much alive sa atong society gihapon, mao nay isa sa mga rason nga atrasado or hinay kaayu atong progress as a nation, as a whole, kay naanad man gd atong society nga ang maayo kay kana rang limpyo sa panan-aw, kanang walay tatak sa lawas mao ra kunoy tarong...hehehe wa sila kahibaw nga kadaghan criminal murag dli makabuak ug plato ang pamorma pero merciless diay kaayu...

same with me years back, when i had my first tattoo on my arm, one of my aunt openly blurted out in front sa akong uban relatives nga "di jd ko ganahan anang naay tattoo uy!! murag piniriso/adik2...." nya ako ra baya naay tattoo adto nga time...then guess what, her own son who is 3years older than me nagpatattoo pd diay just recently, LOL i can only say to her "say what now?"...

sensya nas OT ha, but going back sir, i feel bad that wala lang ka gihatagan ug consideration or maybe at least tan-aw sa unta tong chairman sa imong records bah, kaysa tungod naa kay tattoo gi stereotype naka as someone bad, or potential troublemaker...if ako guro ang chairman(dli tungod naa koy tattoo ha, open-minded lang jd ko), i'd check first your school records(grades, behavior, etc) before ko mu-make ug comment about sa imong tattoo; if i find your records okay, i'll simply tell you since naay reputation ang school nga gipangalagaan, i would like to ask you to hide your tattoo as much as you can whenever you are inside school premises as to not to intimidate other students...simple, that's how i see it...

@doydi: Hi doydi! Stricto na gyud to the highest level ang school karn. Ga second course ko karon sa TC. I'm sure you know in the last few years, image concious na kau ni nga school along with making renovations and countless other changes. I made a post yesterday, and the question is (since mao na man gyud na ang ila rules so reality forces us to make priorities) what are you willing to give up to get into this institution and get that education?

FYI to other people: Tattoos CAN be removed. Laser tattoo removal is available in many dermatology clinics here in cebu. ambot lang how it looks after, but you DO have a choice. Just saying.
