so 300 is a mythological film?
it was my understanding that it is a Hollywood-style retelling of the historical Battle of Thermopylae,
though as i said Hollywood style making it a historical fantasy.

Battle of Thermopylae - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
the battle of Thermopylae itself is true, but it has been heavily romanticized for artistic license, in 300. It's like the Alamo of the Greco-Persian War, and the Battle of Marathon is the Battle of San Jacinto. But you are right, definitely not a myth.

Spartacus is not a mythological figure. Spartacus is a real person. Didn't you have Roman History in school? Haven't you read the Third Servile War?

Thor is a Norse god, but, Thor, the film, is based on the Marvel comics. The comics is really not about the mythology. Lain ra man ang myth ni Thor ug ang comics.

I think the Nibelungenlied is Germanic/Icelandic.

Pareha gud sa Greek ug Roman myth, Germanic parallels the Icelandic.
