yngwie is one great guitarist... same as VAI... yet i'd go for vai more than yngwie for such passion he puts on his guitar playing MORE than Yngwie's ripping of his peers...
thank you for the big "two thumbs" up on Dr. Vai. I'm obssessed with this his music. I always say that people who respects vai are people with very high musical taste, now i know who you are.......hehehehe.
Im a malmsteen fan eversince (i even have mostly of his albums). I just heard vai tunes due to my brother. Furthermore, Malmsteen is the one who influences my favorite band (Helloween).
Whos better...? same goes with EZRA... I dunno. Besides I dont know how to guitarIm just amazed how these guys do their stuffs.
favorite VAI tune: TOUCHING TONGUES...
who's better depends on the person........ personally i like vai...
wala na lain pwede i-compare kang yngwie? ka layo ra si vai when it comes sa mga ideas...tanawa ra gud 'tong G3 Denver. gikaon sila JOe and Steve ni Yngwie....heheheh..But, sahay sumo lang ni si Yngwie pud, balik-balik ang agi((classical) ang blues ka pa-sobra-an..hahaaay...pwde pa siguro Malmsteen and Gilbert..kana kay kumbati jud.Basta, sakto ta tana diri.heheheh..![]()
I like Paul's phrasing better than Yngwie's. No other professional guitar player wants to sound like Yngwie.Originally Posted by ryu_hayabusa

:8O: I don't want to make a sweeping judgement- if you're looking for somebody who can lick a thousand notes per minute then Malmsteen's your man. But if you want to have fun, poignant melodic lines, orgasmic sustain, rockability, (I dunno if this word exists), stage presence, versatility or pure virtuosity - STEVE VAI's the guy and my personal choice between the two!
