Power options,turn off hard disk after 3 minutes

dili ba dali madaut ang imo harddisk kung imo eset imo desktop to turn off harddisk after pila ka minutes?

not really a good idea, constant powering on and off is not good especially in just relatively short intervals. this applies to almost all electronic/electrical devices as well...

also, doing that will make your hard drive spin on and spin off every single time that it powers on and off which literally means stressing your hard drive more than usual.

sus, dili diay ko kabudget kurente ani...gamit sa piso-piso nga hardware timer gud. labi na wala moduwa, standby pila ka oras.personal mn gud nga pisopiso.naa mo lain paagi nga after pila ka minutes nga stand by, mo initiate sya shutdown?

^^ bro, ang tibuok computer nalang ipa stand-by, say after 1 hour or so... kung components lang imo ipa stand-by like hard disk, im pretty sure negligible and power savings ana...

hehehe, mao gyud ni akong problema sad sauna...what I did sa primero was I set the windows power management to shut-Off the system after 5 minutes, in that way mu shutdown ra ug automatic ang PC inig wa nay mag duwa,

Downside sad ani kay kung mag CF or mag youtube ang player nya na time-out na dili na mu function ang Windows power management...

Mao na naghimo gyud ko ug active software timer (C++) para di na gyud mapaltus ang shutdown, keyboard stroke ug mouse movement akong gihimong sensor para ma disable ang timer, so kung wa nay manuwa after 5 minutes, maski 100% pa ang CPU load mu shutdown gyud ang unit,

Ang problema pud sa akong hinimo nga Active software timer kay wa pa nako girepack ug installer meaning manual akong setting sa registry para ma conjunction nako siya iha maka run

4 out of 5 units are using marhxz timer...den nahan ko suway ug hardware type.labi na dugay mareset ang timer code, wala man ko reserved codes.ma-standby ang unit, sayang ang kita...mawagtangan pajud ka mga customer...

what do you mean bai nga dugay ma reset ang timer code? so far sa 15units nko, wala man man jud blema, ngano ma stanby man?

I don't shutdown anything sa power management if my PC is on, guba ako hard disk ani before.
