why should it be closer to anything? the word ambot was created gani because there are times na you just uncertain if its yes or no...the likelihood of it being closer to yes or no rest on too many parameters..e.g. the person speaking it, the context wherein it was used, the tone of the voice

Closer to yes and no depending on the expression of the face and the way the word is spoken. Kung nasuko nga "ambot"! meaning No hehe if "ambot" with a matching shrug sa shoulder and a happy face means YES hehe peru if "ambot" with a blank face kay sure na jud ko "MAYBE'' jud na iya gipasabot..hahaha just my opinion..
