Buzz Aldrin punching a guy who thinks that the moon landing was a hoax.

Before you blow this out of proportion Sandman, let's get some facts straight here:

a) Buzz Aldrin would never punch an ORDINARY citizen who thinks that he never stepped on the moon. Seriously.

b) The only reason he HAD to punch this guy? This is BART SIBREL, who made hundreds and thousands of dollars by releasing a video called "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon"--a person who, without permission and without consent, made a lot money by hounding the Apollo astronauts and weaving a tale that made him rich. Now, if someone did that to you, wouldn't you want to punch him too? I would.

The guy also called Aldrin a liar and a coward, no wonder he got a fist to the face!

I'm pretty sure he also said stuff regarding Aldrin's daughter, and that was the point at which Aldrin decked him. Serves him right.

First comment is correct. Second comment is questionable. Again, Aldrin knew who this guy is--he had been already warned by his agent that he might show up, because Sibrel was already given restraining orders by the court for hounding Neil Armstrong, John Young, and Michael Collins. The only Apollo astronaut who was very accomodating (but still eventually threw him out of the house, when Bean realized who he was) was Alan Bean, but then Bean is one of the nicest men on the planet.

With audio, so you can listen to what Sibrel said to Aldrin, which gave Aldrin the signal "Hey, this is the guy that my agent has been talking about!"

BTW this incident occurred on September 9, 2002. Later, all charges against Buzz for assault were dropped, when the courts realized what Sibrel was doing to the astronauts:
