on good reason nigawas ni nga issue siguro kay i've read somewhere nga nag mga republicans man guro toh, correct me if im wrong, kay murag against gyud sila sa outsourcing kay lagi kuno mao ni mao na.but anyways, since hapit nang election, could be that since bigger issue karon sa US ang ilang dako nga unemployment rate, this could be a ploy of the politicians nga magpahumot pud. syempre, buhaton gyud na nila tanan aron makadaug.hihi.

how the US does its wealth redistribution falls mainly on the third, but also has some hints of the 2nd example, albeit minor.

this is the reason why the thesis of an unfettered and unregulated competition will ultimately not work as the aim of competition is to eliminate the competitor by any means necessary. a laissez faire capitalism, as advocated by the neoliberals, will ultimately stagnate into hegemony.

this is why we need government regulations contrary to what the neo-liberals at the WTO-IMF are saying, to protect weak economies from being snuffed out by the bigger players. this should run both ways to even out the playing field. this should be the prescription that the WT0-IMF should have given if indeed they are serious about poverty eradication: protect weak economies while on the process of maturing, at the same time opening up the strong economies so that the balance of power (political and economic) would even out.

there are things to be done.

first, there is a need to voice out and expose the hipocrisy of the US economic planners on the arbitrary usage of "trade liberalization"; something that they use and impose on everybody else only when it is to their advantage, but resort to protectionism when "trade liberalization" is percieved to be untenable in their own back yard. (we do not have this power as we are held hostage by our credit rating and our national debt)

second, given these stark contradictions, there is the need to revisit and reevaluate the mainstream economic ideology to see if it really serves to alleviate world poverty or is this just a tool for economic and political advancement of one player.

third, the call center/BPO industry, being a tangible manifestation of how the world economic order works, is indeed threatened by this skewed and arbitrary reasoning. as an extension, the economy, down to our very families, are threatened as well. there is a need for the government to re-imagine job creation over and above our dependency to foreign corporations for employment.
Redistribution of wealth (unfortunately) is by principle a violation of right to property that is supposed to be afforded by the government for the people, but even the absence of any authority, the right to property exists as extensions to right to life and liberty... These three natural laws precedes any chartered authority. But people welcome redistribution of wealth, especially those who are in power and those who are unproductive. Those who are duped into relenting to such ideas are only possible because they honestly believe they are doing the right thing... But upto how much will the redistribution eat the harvest of honest laborers and businesses? The line cannot be drawn because the quantity of future redistribution cannot be predicted...

Lassaiz- Faire is the only economic system that grants the maximum liberty to the citizens. Wealth of a nation is nothing if it impairs the liberty of the citizens, and liberty cannot be selective. Corporations can only monopolize a certain industry and into the lives of the people through the instrument of government regulations, prohibitions, tariffs, and other laws. In a free competitive capitalism, the greed of one corporation/one group of corporation will be balanced by the greed of other people. Yes, they will do what it takes to gain an edge and they all will seek government aid. That's why, the government must be held only within the circles of the protection of natural rights, defense of the nation, and enforcing contracts. History has shown that monopolies rise by using government and not by its own merit.

I do agree that the current economic system needs to be reevaluated, the crisis of EU and US are the evidence that Keynesian Economics has failed. Even JM Keynes will disagree with the way his disciples has implemented his ideas. There is an alternative system, which have warned the leaders of the nation of the impending crisis brought about by economic fallacies of the Keynesian and Classical schools of economics. Austrian economics are gaining grounds into the mainstream.

With regards to job creation, the government can do a lot by removing many regulations that destroys opportunities for investors as well as employees who want to start a business on their own. Many of our regulations are counter productive and just increase the parasitic government bureaucrats who are unproductive. Bureaucracies never add any capital.

Call Center industry, like anything else, is temporary. I don't really believe in 'job security'. Manira man ganeh bisan ang mga dagko ug iladong kumpaniya. It is just wise to prepare plan B. This bill had been drafted as early as 2010, don't tell me CC agents did not expect this?

This could also be a wake up call to CC agents to practice frugality. This is high time we start saving-- cc or not. At least kung mawala man ang cc (but there are other BPO companies pa man sad other than call center), naa pa tay makuot while applying for another job.

IT Outsourcing Company-Understanding The Implications Of The Latest Anti-Outsourcing US Bill

The US Senate recently unanimously voted and passed an anti-outsourcing bill. The bill is aimed at foreign companies that hire and fly in workers at various locations in US, and have more than half of their America-based employees on HIB work visa. Once the bill comes it effect such companies will have to pay more visa processing cost for America- inbound techies. This will definitely affect a large IT outsourcing company like Infosys, which sends many techies to various projects in America.

The large Indian software companies like Infosys, Satyam, TCS and Wipro will be hurt the most as they will have to dramatically increase the spending to send the their workers to onsite projects in America. However the American companies like Microsoft that import techies from outside US will not be affected because majority of the worker are American and very small proportion of foreign workers are hired. This is seen as discriminatory by the Indian IT outsourcing industry because it singles out the India software companies for the American financial woes. The rising unemployment and growing anti-outsourcing sentiment amongst Americans has pushed the Senators to pass the bill.

The American economy is painfully trying to shake off the recession aftermath and with US employment rate hovering around 10%, the politicians are looking for solutions. Targeting outsourcing companies won’t help in their cause to create more jobs for Americans. A giant IT outsourcing company like Infosys won’t be affected too much by this law keeping in mind its staggering $1.3 billion dollars earning in the recent fiscal year. A large IT outsourcing company can also work around this law and reduce its staff strength in US and correspondingly increase its offshore development.

The struggling economy will ensure that American business will continue to rely on the outsourcing to cut their business costs. IT outsourcing company offers plenty of benefits to the American businesses. It takes out infrastructure and manpower costs from their businesses and allows them to concentrate more core business and increase their competency levels. Even if the large outsourcing companies reduce their presence in America, the American business will find American staff very expensive compared to cheap but skilled services of their Indian counterparts.

This move will benefit the outsourcing SMEs who will get opportunity to increase their share of the outsourcing pie that American businesses offer. With lesser number of techies flying out to US there will be shortage of skilled personnel there and this in turn will increase the software outsourcing from the US. At same time the American businesses will benefit from this move because they will be better served through more inventive IT solutions at a very competitive pricing. The competition between Indian software SMEs will heat up and result in better bargains for the American businesses.

It will be very hard for American businesses or politician to get rid of the outsourcing because of the plentiful benefits that it brings to them and their economy. On other hand the software outsourcing companies should hire more number Americans and address this burning issue effectively from their own end.
