There are no dams along Mandulog (Iligan) River. The valley that Mandulog flows through is not conducive for dams and hydro plants. The Agus river is a relatively young river, and thus the valley in which it cuts through is "V" shaped, and this is why the Agus river has 5 hydroelectric plants along its route. Rivers in V-shaped valleys also don't contribute much to flooding because of its youth--older rivers are FLATTER and WIDER, more sedimentation is deposited in FLAT FLOOD PLAINS--plains nga people (and the local governments) think are SAFE for habitation--how utterly wrong they were.
