Not to mention the cost to maintain such advanced equipment and the technology and training needed to handle the equipment. And if one malfunctions cause ur pilots or technicians are careless or you get shot down from a RPG...well too bad....there goes your ONLY advanced aircraft.

You have too many accidents in the PAF anyway. If they can't handle WW2 or Vietnam era let alone maintain them...how can they handle an advanced 21st Century or late 20th century aircraft?

You don't need F-22's or whatever. The US Government also doesn't want you to rely on SOVIET COMMUNIST MADE weapons. They feel your government will turn socialistic as most if not all Asian nations are like or split between on views.


What you need is a massive updated navy and ground force. Not an Air Force. You're people won't really fight nor have the resources to. If invaded it'll take the tenacity and perseverance to wage a 40+ year civil war till the invaders tire out at 10 years. With millions of dead filipinos in the aftermath and women and children brought in as rebel fighters to win.

That is usually the outcome of most defeated militaries. They rely on the people to stage uprisings everywhere.

But don't expect the Philippines to be invaded. It is CHEAPER to just BUY you out with CASH.

You need a stronger ground force and better navy. And manufacture your own weapons and produce your own oil for use.

kadaghan nindot nga jets sa CHINA ah.. kanang J10 nila halos pareho ug performance sa F-16, taz daghan pa sila Russian fighter jets na gipalit like the SU 27 and 30..

15 frigates it cost more on the long run! it fed on diesel ang gas. plus alot of manpower to run each frigate..

I would suggest only transport planes and choppers para maka deliver ug effective services ang ato PAF sa disasters and emergencies..

gone are the days na naay mahitabong invasion sa isa ka nasud because most of the nations already conquer the world economies and buying fighter jets is not practical anymore.

we have 1 running c130. 2 coming next year from general overhaul. and planned purchase another 2 next year(thats a total of 5 already). plus additional sokol choppers.. we need bombs from air to scare the shit out of those NPA pest.

f16's are great plane in deterring off course navies entering our territory..

pinoy fishermen happily fishing near palawan... then chinese junks harassed them. pinoy fishermen radios navy. navy radios f16's based in palawan. after 15mins(pinaka dugay na nah!) f16 arrived on seen. chinese shits on there pants... same goes to the research vessel harrased by chinese vessels near palawan.

got damn! undang tah pang daut sa atong kaugalingon airforce!!! kita mismo mga katawhan dapat mo lobby sah upgrades sah airforce!!!

wala man sa ginadaut nato ang airforce bay, ang question man gud dira kung naa na ta anang mga F-16 unsaon man na pagdala sa maintenance? kailangan lage nato na to guard our territories unya ang problema kaya na ma maintain sa bulsa sa taxpayers? tubaga sa na nga pangutana kung dapat pa ba ta mag purchase anang F-16 despite the fact na di kaya sa AFP ang pag maintain ana.. kay kung kaya e maintain sa AFP ang maski 5 lang ka F-16 then go and purchase more of it..
