Yeah, u read it right.. How can we help them?
I just saw a news from davao that mayor inday sara duterte is awarded by Presidential Commission on Urban Poor as "defender of the urban poor" after the present mayor punched a sheriff for not listening to his halt order for 1 hour . Though it helps our people that someone from the government is giving a concern for their welfare especially for those who are less fortunate one's. however as I read the news there are questions that is forming in my mind..
1. does helping the poor especially these people living from the squatter areas are worthy? they know the fact that the land they lived doesn't belong to them.. They just live there because the owner of the land pities on their situation.. but when the time comes when the land owner will use the land they get mad which in the first place they really don't own..
2. For so many years of hard-work just to find a living, why does the people living in slum areas or squatter areas can't find a house that they can call it their own?
3. Why do they always blame our government if they become poor? didn't they consider themselves to be the reason also why they got poor until now?
4. Why would they get mad if the government can't find them a relocation site? even if the government have given them a relocation site they still got a nerve to complain about it..
5. for so many years that our government is helping the poor, how come there are still a lot of poor people in our country that it hasn't reduced even a slightest bit?
I am anti-poverty and i really don't want that our fellow pinoys will become poorer for the next generation..
I'm just wondering of all the solutions that the government and some NGO's made for the sake in reducing the poverty level of our country, why is it until now our fellow pinoy's still experience rising level of poverty especially in the problems of housing?
How can we help them in a way that these people will not live as squatter's anymore for the next generation?
