from what ive read, Sony SLT-A65 is on par with Nikon D5100 or Canon EOS 600D.
Sony SLT-A77 vs Canon 60d
or
Sony SLT-A65 vs Canon 600d
para fair.
dont worry about the features, both camera are good. you wouldnt care about it kung naa na ang camera.
para nako
Canon because of the lens choices and service centers.
Lens
naay daghan diri sa istorya - Tamron/Sigma/Tokina usually for canons and nikons.
sony wala kaayu 3rd party. you're locked in sony only lenses.
Service Center
as of today, canon ra naay service center diri cebu.
canon gray market dslr are treated as outOfwarranty dslr at no extra charge. pero dugay daw kaayu sila mu repair.
As far as i know, All sony dslr are instructed to ship dslr to quezon city.
pwede 3rd party paayu if you like.
lastly, i think the top lcd panel.
i just want a dslr with this top lcd display. i think perfect ni sa canon 60d because of the foldable lcd at the back. i usually shoot and forget and dont mind looking at the back of the lcd, so i keep it closed (folded no lcd), i only look at the top lcd to adjust settings like iso/shutter/drive/aperture.

Nyahahaha duda pod ko sa TS.....
Some things why I like the 60D over Sony alpha 65 is the top
1. TOP LCD panel
2. Mas bigger ang 60D
3. More lenses to choose from eventually gyud the time will come nga mo crave gyud ka ug mga exotic lenses so dha na mo play ang availabilty sa mga lenses sa Canon and 3rd party leses that are easily available and affordable and to think hobbyist ra ta so naa gyuy tendency to lean on to 3rd party leases however it's entirely a different story for you hehehe budget is not an issue hehehe
4 dali ra ang pagpalit sa accessories like flashes from the OEM to 3RD party
Doc you mentioned that the type of photography you like is Landscape so you don't need the 10 fps, the video capability of sony, all you need is to go out and shoot ra so Canon is more suitable in my honest opinion for you.
Hope you choose the right gear for your needs and when you do Enjoy your new toy////![]()
"The OLED Trufinder that Sony is now using is a very different beast - its 2.4M dots are able to provide a 1024 x 768 pixel display and do so with a progressive update. As a result, the viewfinder not only gives a more detailed view but also one that's free from tearing. After extended use, we're confident in saying that it is the best EVF we've ever used."
"The Sony SLT A65's electronic viewfinder is large - on a par with the optical finders of full-frame SLRs. This makes it substantially bigger than those in its APS-C mid-level SLR peers such as the Nikon D5100 or Canon EOS 600D. It offers 100% coverage of the final image, with no crop - what you see is what you get."
Sony SLT-A65 Review: 3. Body and Design: Digital Photography Review
i like how i can have the exposure parameters in the evf, even preview the image on the evf. when adjusting said parameters, it shows the effects right away, what you see is what you get. if you actually master the controls, you can adjust your settings without removing your eye from the EVF.![]()
