    justice is sometimes unfair, but we have due process of law equal rights should be given for both parties ma contra siya o dili... if not then we are no different from the person we tried to prosecute..

    I think we are the only country in the world that has this doctrine. Either we are that smart, or everyone else thought this was a bad idea.

    its how civilize people should do, just because that official created a controversy you want his/her head on the platter, then we are no different with from the anarchist barbarians...

    dapat kamao jud ang abogado nga prosecute nila... kung banga2x pud... aw abtan kas taob....

    its just part of due process of law...

    Having more due process doesn't mean you are more just or civilized. There's no due process in a broken justice system, only legalities.

    but what about the perpetual disqualification from public office ? can teddy lamp post still run in 2013 ?

    The focus of a justice system should be justice. Due process is different in each jurisdiction, anyway. Preventive suspension is a part of due process. So to the extent Aguinaldo doctrine interferes with, or frustrates, that part of our legal process, then it is contrary to due process. Due process is not only about rights to the accused but also justice for victims.
