globe or a scam?

hi guys, my neighbor just had an incident with a collection agency (i searched their company profile) named "Domingo and Molaer Law office". this is what happend:

1. our neighbor got a wimax connection from globe. the agent told them that there will be at least a week of testing if their signal there was ok and they get good internet service but sadly their internet connection was so poor that they could not even get a webpage to open right away. ping was a constant 700-800ish (i tried it myself as they asked me for help).

2. so with the poor connection i asked them to call globe and have the connection cut as it was only a few days. and as the agent said they have a testing period. globe came and took the wimax along everything else after a week.

3 then a month later a letter came from a guy in a motorcycle as said by our neighbor. check the letter out


4. then after a few days a call came from their mobile phone ( they dont have a landline phone). the person said he was from globe then threatened to go to their house and take everything they own like tv, fridge and other stuff if dont pay the said amount in the letter.

5. next they got another letter a few months after stating the same stuff except the date was changed. another call came and saying the same stuff. The couple asked me if i could help them inquire about their problem so i had them call globe and confirm if they have an outstanding balance and the agent told them that they just had a termination of an account with in the trial period (not sure what the agent meant). the couple then went to SM to confirm and the agent their told them that if he doesnt see any amount to be paid but if you receive any you can dispute the charges. we showed the agent the letter and he said he does not recognize the letter and globe never sends out billing in that type of letter.

6. the couple received another letter recently and this time i asked them to see the manager or something in the globe office to straighten things out as they have been dealing with threats from these people. the couple told the collector that we would only pay to globe in case there are any charges and to them alone and the guy answered "nang dili mo sa globe mo bayad, ari lng sa amu opisina". they just said we will ask globe first.

now guys have you ever dealt with this kind of problem from GLOBE or what ever collection agency or scammer? if so how did you deal with this? are this things legal or what? they are even trespassing on the couples lot (since their gate is a few meters from their house) by opening the gate and knocking on the front door.

any advice would be helpful..

mao gyud scam ni. dili man sad ang collections agency ang mu collect ana cz misleading naman gud if mao na. Globe gihapon ang mu send ug letter.
