I didn't say it was ok to ignore her on the street . If I was there , I would NEVER touch the victim and call for help instead otherwise I might be ordered by the gov't to pay for her medical and/or funeral cost .

If it was someone you know, like a family member, would you do the same thing?

If it was anybody you know most especially family nimo, for sure motabang ka..that is a no brainer bai. If the mother was there in the first place do you think maligsan kaha tong bataa? Twice pajud... We forgot the root of this problem..it was the parents..asa man sila? People( even the chinenes netizens) are blaming the by standers for not being able to help ( although valid sa hinoon) where in the first place its the parent's responsibility to watch their kids most especially sa china nga naay one child policy... Lesson for everybody ( especially the parents) yaw tawn biya-i inyong mga anak, labi na tawn sa dan...

    Chinese law sucks...

by the way mao diay i tubag sa naka ligis
“If she is dead, I may pay only about 20,000 yuan ($3,180),” the van driver told the China Daily before he surrendered to police. “But if she is injured, it may cost me hundreds of thousands of yuan.”

If you're the mother then yes, it's a no brainer. But what if relative lang ka sa bata? Mo tabang ka? Considering the risk involved.

Mao rasad nay itubag sa mga nakaligis nga drivers diha sa cebu bai...that is reality, mismo ilang mga amo ang mosulti nila ana...no need to be shocked. Naligsan akong tiyo sauna sa bus & gibackingan jud tanw sya, maygani kay nakalihay sya.nakabayad jud ang bus company but mao lagi wa gihapoy ayo...
Mas barato man ang gasto if lungon ray bayran kaysa gasto sa hospital..sad reality..

i remember this applies sa pinas as well. i know a true story in ozamis years ago nga gbalikan sa bus driver ang iyang naligsan para sure nga patay, ky ang rason mas mahal ang bayad sa hospital bills kaysa sa punerarya.

If i am a relative, i would...i wouldn"t be called a bystander by then dba?! & for sure di na maingon ana if relative ang naa sa palibot, lagmit gipatay natong driver atong puti nga van.. Di sad ka ikiha oi if you are a family member or a relative... But if i don't know the person i will call the authoroties. Di lang sa naglikay ka sa kiha, kung di naglikay lang sad ka kay basin makacause paka og mas dakong damage sa victim kung imong tandugon.. But then again, who knows what i will do if ever that time comes( which i hope it will never come)...

The "Cultural Revolution" of China is still pretty much visible these days. This incident is a proof how Chinese were close being brainwashed almost with Maoist teachings.
For Maoist teachings, they don't value life, religion, culture or spiritual aspect in each citizen as long the state is always the priority, no matter what will happen to them.
