    Sorry kung kulang sa explanation...

Anyway, mag post na unta ko ug explanation pero naunhan naman ko...

I believe they are using YBCO. Yttrium barium copper oxide - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It's an amazing high temperature superconductor. We call it HTCs in our lab. What makes is amazing is that it is superconducting at 93K!! This means you can use liquid nitrogen which is at 77K to cool it down.

We have several YBCO strips in our lab which we use for our experiment. It's really cool because you can just dip it in liquid nitrogen and you can get more than 20Amps through without heat being produced by YBCO.

Going back to magnetic levitation, here's a video from our institute showing a mini MagLev train and how efficient it can be. Supraleitung - Atominstitut - YouTube
    - wala sad ko niingun nga bag.o ni nga technology/ "science" , na-amaze lang ko sa video, nakahinumdum ko sa back to the future, sa gadget ni marty mclfy, ang hoverboard.

TS: Can you post at least a brief description of that thing you are trying to show. Not being stupid here but a summary would surely help. There are people accessing iSTORYA.net from company-managed networks. So they can't access youtube. They can search from other websites but are unsure whether they are talking about the same thing.

    Just a suggestion. Thanks.

^^ yup that's correct. our company network blocks youtube too. anyways, i watched it from home and it is indeed interesting... a brief description would really help..

misleading man cguro imo title TS, dili man na hoverboard. hoverboard is still fictional pa man. though naa possibility na magamit na nga technology, superconductivity and Meissner effect, paghimo hoverboard.

Murag gigamit ning Meissner effect sa Maglev trains, short for magnetic levitation.

Hallo! My colleagues and I decided to repeat this with what we have in the lab while waiting for our cryo to warm for opening. So here it is. I just used my phone and the video quality is quite poor. But anyway, it's cool. We managed the thin YBCO wire to levitate through the Meissner effect. We had to cut the YBCO superconductor into a disk or at least close because for the locking effect you need a symmetric superconductor. Enjoy.

PS: The YBCO superconducting wire we are using is not pure. It has copper outer layers for soldering into other electrical devices as well as other layers for protection. So we had to find a sweet spot for cube's magnetic field and the disk's weight to obtain the locking effect.
