    I know disappointing jud inyo sweldo coz bisan ako nag expect ko na higher rate jud coz of what they've been advertising.
    Regarding sa tech-salesmanager, im not really sure how he got qualified for the post. tingali naay skills or training before sa iyang company. Like our company, they offer six sigma training and other leadership skill na bisan dili manager or sup pwede makaavail basta lang naay approval sa imong boss. I guess you need to give him a chance. Just think or imagine yourself in his shoe. Bisan experienced or tenured agent naka i know maglisod jud kag handle or different personalities. ang uban pa ana mas knowledgeable or experienced pa nimo.

    I left because of a whole different thing. I'm just expressing the sentiments of some people I know. Yeah, he's okay ra man. Like I said before, he's doing his best man sad, wa man sad gapabaya. Naa man sad xay effort. But ang scenario ba, during the application. There's a lot of promise about promotion, etc. but instead they opted for someone from the outside instead sa ilang agents (others are TL's from other BPO's before) nga naningkamot pud tawn uroy ma nindot ang stats. Well, ilaha sad na. I have nothing against TP. For the sake of discussion ra ni ato.

    this is actually correct. for sales manager, people skills should come in 2nd. priority jud nila ang making sales. some people in this position dont even care about the people selling (front liners, agents). what they just care about is generating money for the company. making sales is not easy. you cant just learn it in a few days or a few weeks. its a talent. what more if sales manager naka then no experience sa sales? how can that be? i cant imagine what he got himself into.

    Here's an amusing story I overheard at the pantry one day:

    Agent 1: Kung muadto ta clinic in the middle of our shift, dili man diay paid noh?
    Agent 2: Paid na oi. Lunch ramn ang dili paid kung ngsugod naka take ug calls for the shift.
    Agent 3: Dili paid oi kung wala ka nag-take ug calls. Mura ni ug Jolibbee, inoras ang sweldo. Kung wala ka sa station, putol imong metro. Unya na na modagan balik inig take nimo calls balik.

    HASTANG AHAKA! Lingawa nko oi! Hahaha

    @cearism i take no offense in being pointed out. yes, i'm the sales manager you are talking about. and let me state my case. first, let me make several corrections. I was hired externally - just like everyone else.i was in wave 2 just like the supervisors and the account manager. so i am not a johnny-come-lately. i was with a tech support account at teletech but not as an agent, not as a sup but as a trainer and before that i was with another company for a hard-selling account for a satellite tv provider as agent then trainer. so i know all the facets of managing a team, crunching numbers and of course, i can't train both technical troubleshooting and sales (which is what the current account in TP does) if i do not know what i'm talking about. and yes i still regularly take calls fyi. regarding qualifications, i believe i am qualified for the post: i have finished countless trainings and i have been in the industry for 7 years. not that tenure nor certificates warrant a promotion or higher pay but they are required for certain posts upfront. what is most important, as some of you have posted, is how i deal with people and my attitude towards my work. i respect people, i am honest with them and i am passionate about helping them. that's it. whatever i do revolves around that. for that particular scenario, i am not a know-it-all. so i am being honest - i got an SME's advice instead of misinforming or directing your friend somewhere else. and being respectful, i approached the agent with a possible solution. since it didn't work, i tried to look for another solution. so i did not stop helping even if I should be focusing on sales and the situation called for something else. now, everyone else here on site is new. only the SMEs from Manila have a more solid product knowledge base compared to mine. but as a trainer, i know everyday is a learning experience. so should that scenario happen again, i wouldn't look for an SME since i already know what needs to be done. and what's best here my friends, is that i am open to feedback. i want to work around my strengths and i want to determine my areas for improvement in order to become a better person. even if we have complaints. (try to be in my shoes reporting to two bosses in upper management. yes, i have my complaints too, but i keep them to myself ) i hope we all do.
