Why dub in taglish?

Every time I watch English movies on tv5 it leaves me wondering (1)why do they dub English movies? (2)why in taglish and not in straight Tagalog? I could understand if they were dubbing other foreign language movies to Tagalog. But English to taglish?

in my opinion bro, to cater the masses. so that everybody could understand the movie.. not sure though if that is the actual reason..

g.base ra na sa way mo.storya ang mga taw karon. maski bisaya or tagalog or unsa nga dialect, masagulan man jd na og english word kay ang english complete man og vocabulary. dili tanan sa english ma.translate sa tagalog/filipino.

I wish they would not dub English movies. Really, something is lost in the translation.

Para makasabot ang mga pilipino TS. Then taglish na siya kai naa may mga term nga lisud i tagalog pure. Naa man gud mga idioms nga ma relate nila sa ilang movie.

Remember the TV series 24? ABSCBN dubbed it in Tagalog too. One of the bad guys said something like "Pananagutan mo 'to Jack! Pananagutan mo!" And many lulz were had.
