I agree with jay_snow. Swerte lang na sila kulang ta resources diri (education, training) way klaro ato education system. Pero the fact that filipino kids who come to school here excel majorly means that if given the chance we Filipinos will dominate in things we do.

Ako mga pag-umangkon sa Chicago kay ipatransfer na ug special school for gifted children.

Before I stray way out from this topic, can you just imagine if these companies let their outsourcing company do major tasks unsa nalang puy gamit sa lang staff sa US di ba?

so this was the comment that started the debate.

i don't know anything about engineering or R&D, so i leave the bragging and proving to you guys. But rumsfield, really, what's the point in telling fellow filipino engineers of what they cannot do? You are fortunate indeed to have landed a job there, doing more sophisticated stuff as you claim. but please check your attitude coz it reminds me of that nasty mentality that we filipinos would surely want to leave in the past--crab stuff.

It only goes to show that kung mogawas ang usa ka hambugero, manggawas sila tanang hambugero. Demn hahaha nalingaw ko sa inyo diskurso. I thought rumsfield is trying to say nga totoy ang mga taga pinas and then now after awhile nakasabot ko apil diay siya sa mga maayo, apil sa mga puti. Well, wa na tay mahims kay naa man kuno siya diri na gyud siya'y edge literally but that doesn't mean he's any better mangutot pud na siya.

I just feel disappointed everytime a kababayan discriminate a fellow pinoy, bisan unsaon ug pagka marunong, pagka hilas, pinoy gyud gihapon ta pislat ug ilong. *** clears her throat. I just don't understand how someone can be that to himself... kay any insult you point towards others, three fingers are pointed at you.

At least nalang nay mga trabaho ato mga kababayans.

Going back to the topic, outsourcing will continue to be a driving force for companies in search for competitive advantage. The success of BPO, especially the offshore BPO is good for the Philippine economy as it can generate jobs and eventually improve our slumping economic situation.
